So on that basis I would not be able to attend a mid-week night game as my grandson, who has got school the next day, would not attend.
Just wear a cap back to front and your jeans halfway down your ass. Nobody will know any difference.

If I were you and I wanted to attend a midweek game without your grandson, then I’d take his season ticket along and explain the situation. Maybe with prior permission being obtained from the club.
I honestly can’t see them turning you away as many kids probably struggle to get to night games.

This says 'over 3550' which is 3551...so not 4000.

Yes, didn’t someone post this morning that the ticket office were saying almost 4,000 had been sold ??
Yet still it’s 500 more than last season, apparently.
I guess there will be a bit of a rush tomorrow but 4,500 seems a long way off, although a couple of good signings could help.

That article was posted an hour ago. I guess we could have sold 500 in that time...

Yeah but “Fred” posted at 9.48am today that the TO were reporting almost 4,000 sold.
12 hours later the club report sales at over 3,550

I hope we make the 4,500 target but Fred’s post was obviously wrong.

Over 500 up on the same time as last season, plenty of new fans purchasing. I’d say it’s looking promising.

Do you reckon?

I’d assume new fans would hold off until the deadline has passed and they had more selection.

We’ve definitely sold another 3 :)

Would you expect more seats in north, west and south to become available ? Plenty in East.

Yeah, definitely. The numbers back that up - over 4,000 last year, just 3,500 this year so far.

If I was buying my first one, I’d wait until July to see if I could buy one more centrally positioned. Hopefully there will be another bump up next week.

Read the website then if you don’t believe me cos that’s where I got my info from! I think it’s good and positive that we have that many new faces, as players sign to us it will spike again, I think like you said when you can pick your seat it will spike again and then it will just build naturallly as we get closer to kick off.

I wouldn't take any notice on the 'sales up from this time last year' as I suspect the majority of the difference is due to fans making use of the early bird offer.

I think figures are comparable once the deadline ends for renewals. End of the month I think.

My do you reckon was in response to your comment about plenty of new fans. I doubt that’s the case at this moment although will hopefully change next week.

Yeah I know that’s what you were saying I was just pointing out my facts came from the club itself and I’ve no reason to disbelieve their article.

Wonder why deadline was extended? I was hoping individual games were going on sale next week. Well Cheltenham anyway.

Not enough season tickets renewed, in my opinion there are a number of reasons.

1. Not selling them at the early bird prices.

2. Insufficient quality signings.

3. Selling our best players.

I think if at least one quality proven striker and one quality proven attacking midfielder is brought in it may make a difference .

I notice the number sold has gone up to "more than 3,800".

All sorts of possible reasons for the extension over the weekend - my guess is there's either going to be a signing or two by Monday lunchtime, or something mundane like giving those who get paid at the end of the month a chance to sort finances to pay at the last minute.

If it’s over 3,800 at this stage, then 4,500 is definitely possible between now and the Cheltenham game.
The other plus point is that unlike the sales from a year ago, these season ticket holders will probably actually use them more often than some of the ‘ghost kids’ whose parents paid a token £9 or whatever it was.

As for the extension, hopefully we are expecting a signing or two rather than people waiting for payday. They could easily write a cheque ( remember them ? ) and the club would cash it well after payday.
Anyway, it’s looking positive so far, now, let’s hope for some decent signings.

Fair enough. Just read it and seen what you mean - but the ‘many’ is pretty vague and could be anything.

Every new fan within the 3,550 means another existing fan hasn’t renewed, that’s just odd.

Either or is plausible and allows a few more to sign up.

They always extend the deadline don't they? It's a way to get people who were interested but missed the deadline to sign up.

And by doing so making deadlines utterly meaningless. Why?

When I got my ST last season I waited until the deadline passed in the hope a better seat would come up. It did. So some ST holders don’t renew and others, like first timers like me, wait until the deadline has passed.
