As a manager, Jackett has achieved 3 promotions. Also involved in another 3 promotions as an assistant. Who with a better record do the doubters propose to replace him with.

Tbf you wanted to keep emblefud so I’ll go with the opposite of what you think when it comes to managers.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 7:52 pm
Results so poor, just incredible some still back him.
Feel free to concentrate on the 29 matches of this injury ravaged season. I'll concentrate on Jackett's whole managerial career. 920 matches, 407 wins, 236 draws, 277 losses.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 7:52 pm

Couldn't care less about his previous record, only one club counts. Injuries happen every season.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 8:25 pmFeel free to concentrate on the 29 matches of this injury ravaged season. He is the f8cking mug who put us in the sh1t in the first place!!Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 8:52 pm It’s just a very simple question - what type of manager do you need to get out of a relegation battle? An experienced manager who’s been there and done it. We have one.
Let’s get to the end of the season and reassess.
Well you’ve clearly thought this through logically, without emotion so I’ll change my mind. Sack him.Frogger wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 8:57 pmHe is the f8cking mug who put us in the sh1t in the first place!!Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 8:52 pm It’s just a very simple question - what type of manager do you need to get out of a relegation battle? Get rid!! open yours and see it for what it is. Old man, struggling to work out anything other than 3-5-2 and has lost the respect of the team.

Things are improving, game by game. Once we start scoring, results will change.
One other point, Nigel said that in the NFL they had worked out statistically that if a manager has a bad patch, but is allowed to continue in the position, the results over the long run are better than chopping and changing.
Keeping him is much the better idea. Let’s give him another 15 games, surely we can’t lose everyone, if we can keep a clean sheet we are nailed on for 15 points!!Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 8:59 pmWell you’ve clearly thought this through logically, without emotion so I’ll change my mind. To be pedantic wasn’t the Moses goal against Rochdale in the season after that Wycombe game? From memory maybe Mcgleish got the other goal in that game?Scuba Diver wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 9:09 pmThis.Still's Carenae wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 6:43 pm Just remember what happened after Russell Slade had 3 points after 10 games at the start of the 11-12 season. IIRC; we only just stayed up on the last or penultimate game of that season, by beating Wycombe 2-0, with Ryan Jarvis and a worldie from a certain Moses Odubajo to announce his entrance
Within 18 months we were top of League 1
