Slade left Stevenage last season after a short spell helping Revell - but for Macclesfields frequent indescretions Stevenage would have fallen out of the league - so hardly a success. Revell has done far better since he left.
Slade said in the recent Lo-down podcast he would like to come and watch a game next season and have a beer with the fans it would be nice to see him again "thanks for the memories and all that " but if anyone thinks T&T are going to side line Ling in favour of Slade then think again. putting sentiment aside is hiring someone as a "consultant" who has been sacked from 5 managerial positions in four years a step forward?
Slade is currently heading up a company that is preparing a law suit on behalf of 400 + pro's regarding their data rights, I dont think he has plans to go back into football management I think his company is giving him more than enough to do.

Cardiff actually offered him the same position in 2015.
He was sacked from Coventry and Charlton, both basketcase clubs. The others were not far behind.

And he resigned at Cardiff and left Coventry after taking them to the JPT trophy final.
