Slade left Stevenage last season after a short spell helping Revell - but for Macclesfields frequent indescretions Stevenage would have fallen out of the league - so hardly a success. Revell has done far better since he left.

Slade said in the recent Lo-down podcast he would like to come and watch a game next season and have a beer with the fans it would be nice to see him again "thanks for the memories and all that " but if anyone thinks T&T are going to side line Ling in favour of Slade then think again. putting sentiment aside is hiring someone as a "consultant" who has been sacked from 5 managerial positions in four years a step forward?

Slade is currently heading up a company that is preparing a law suit on behalf of 400 + pro's regarding their data rights, I dont think he has plans to go back into football management I think his company is giving him more than enough to do.

The wage bill is bursting why increase the non playing overheads further - however I was impressed with his recent interview

He's a lovely bloke who nutured a feel good factor at the club so as far as that is concerned - tick. No promotion in upteen attempts though.
