I just looked and it said men’s final day cheapest ticket is £250 yikes
That’s a good price actually. I would have thought that it would be 10 times that amount.

The man's semis (£185 for two top games) and final (£225) are the best value as you get to see the top players play up to 5 sets. Whereas for the women's semis (£160) and final (£185) in recent years has just been Serena Williams blasting the others off the court in next to no time. Also tickets for the first couple of days (£64/£56) are really decent value as you can get 4 matches on the show courts. Last time I went it was people's Sunday and got 3 matches on court 1 (including one at one set all that needed to be completed from the previous day). Only cost £40 each.

So, Williams and Halep in the womens final. I’d like to see the talented but inconsistent Halep win, if only in memory of THAT pic our old friend Norbert took, but suspect she may choke again on the big stage. Unless Williams has another one of her occasional off days (more common in recent years) I’m expecting her to win.

Well, I wasn’t expecting a thrashing like that for Williams! Pretty much a flawless match from Halep. Good stuff.

Thought Federer had him in that deuce but real grit from Djokovic to hang in there.

That was a cracking game. Federer probably edged it in terms of playing the better tennis overall, but came up short in the 3 key tie breaks and Novak was immense in saving the 2 Championship points against him. Obviously a first final set tie break at 12-12, but was also the first final since 1948 the winner has saved match points first.
Bit of a super Sunday on the telly (freeview, too) for cracking, close finals, wasn’t it?

Not so impressed that three tie breaks won the title, but it was one hell of a performance from both players. Djokovic just refuses to lose.
