I don't think he is? Surely not? It's so clearly more of an issue one side than the other I think even the most partisan person couldn't claim that so I'll give the benefit of the doubt.

I wasn't saying its one party more than another or its this or that. They are all at it. Have you and Redo forgot the expenses scandal? All party MP's involved in that.

For a more recent example have you forgot what the electorate voted in the brexit vote? Did their local MP's follow their constitutes wishes? I think you'll find Labour were the worst on that front. Again self serving.

Still bash the tories who yes are at it as well, but at least remember that they are all at it.

Thor - 12.47
"He (Schapps) doesn't care and there are a number of MP's across all parties who don't care and are only interested in their self serving needs."

Thor - 13.55
"...at least remember that they are all at it"

Thor can barely maintain the same position on an issue for more than an hour!

He's also forgotten that MPs are representatives, not delegates. The actions of MPs - in theory at least - are governed by the interests of their constituents, their party and the country. It is therefore perfectly fine for MPs to vote in ways which do not follow the majority of their constituents views.

Are they doing it deliberately or what.... :o

....so what do you do in that situation

(a) Put your hands up and say you made an honest mistake
(b) Quickly delete the tweet and pretend it never happened

...which do you think he did?

People have had the opportunity to vote for the most honest, decent man to become the Prime Minister of this Country.

A man who has never been involved in ANY expenses scandal; possibly due to the fact that he has consistently, for years, claimed less expenses than any other M.P. across the entire House of Commons.

A man who has given his lifetime to do what is right for other people; who possesses a tireless work ethic and passion that makes the likes of Johnson :clown not worthy of cleaning his boots.

You had your chance people. However, you believed and supported the character assassination and plethora of lies spewed via the Mainstream Media.

You had a chance - not once but twice.

You screwed it.

Things could have been better.

A fairer, decent less corrupt society; where people were not left behind.

Things could have been oh so much better.

As each day now passes, it still truly breaks my bloody heart that they aren't. :|

For crying out loud......Shapps takes over where Grayling left off. I missed this story earlier.......

Grant Shapps gives wrong day for start of France quarantine rules

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/ ... s-covid-19

With hundreds of thousands of holidaymakers nervously hanging on his every word, it is fair to expect the transport secretary to have a firm grasp of the details when announcing France would be removed from the UK’s travel corridor list.

But Grant Shapps sowed confusion on Thursday night by apparently giving out the wrong information, suggesting the quarantine measures would be coming into force on Sunday when, in fact, they are doing so 20 hours earlier.

Can I ask non-confrontational question to Conservative voters that post on here? Please be honest as this is a genuine question -

aren't you finding this current Government embarrassing?

If these were Labour Party cock-ups, quite honestly, I'd be disgusted.

What is your honest opinion?

I'm not sure how, but I'm pretty certain this is all Dianne Abbott's fault.

Why is this a valid defence against this governments failings? Labour didn't win. I get that. That doesn't mean that this morally corrupt and incompetent government shouldn't be hauled over the coals for their continued screw ups. Time you grew up mate.

Thankfully people didn't vote for him cos we'd be up the swanney now.

In all my years of working I never had my company credit card stopped for not submitting my expenses correctly or in a timely manner. Now here's a report in the guardian which shows MP's across all parties were doing either or both. A certain Jeremy Corbyn had his card suspended. Oh deary me.

It took a judge to ensure that this information was released to the public. Still think they are not self serving across all parties??????

Just to bring some balance about corbyn being the least claiming MP.

I've demonstrated he was not honest with his expenses and now ill show he claimed more than most.

its not good to be honest with you. There is a lack of joined up thinking and or communication within government and the left hand fails to understand what the right hand is doing at times.

Really?

I can show he claimed less:

Anyway, this thread isn't titled Jeremy Corbyn - it's titled Grant Shapps.

Instead of deflecting (as is your normal embarrassingly transparent little ploy) how about commenting on the proven liar, Grant Shapps, instead?
