Harrolds role hasn't been sorted yet. I'd imagine they'll both be coaching jobs in the clubs academy - something like the under15s, 16s etc.

By the same token I can never understand why more of the local ethnic population don't come to games. Perhaps they don't care.

Very topical but I have no doubt the club would'nt hesitate to make such an appointment if it was someone who could add something to the club, our physio Ketan Patel is of Asian decent btw and we have Brian Saah managing the Academy, Miguel De Souza was involved with our scouting set up don't know if he still is, We have had BAME coaches working with the age groups in the academy. Orient have always had there fair share of BAME players and staff more than many other clubs I suspect.

Ling binned off a successful BAME performance coach (someone he didn't appoint) a year ago, replacing him with one of his chums who has presided over a demonstrable reduction in our squad's fitness levels. Embleton is known to be chums with a distinctly iffy part of our fanbase, many of whom are likely to be out in town this Saturday on a counter-protest against BLM. Many of the players who fell out of favour this year, or whose rehabs were botched were BAME (Turley, McAnuff, Ekpiteta, Widdowson).

Teague is from Texas, not generally known for it's enlightened and progressive views on race, and also often seen enjoying the company of iffy persons from our fanbase.

To be fair to Travis, he has pro-actively made anti-racist statements that predate this latest wave of protests.

All very circumstantial, I know, and hardly evidence of institutional racism. But it doesn't assure me that we don't have a much more insidious form of background prejudice permeating the club.
