A lot of talk about tempo on here, so I'm surprised to see Clay's name missing from the entire thread. He starts the press that turns the ball over. Without that, we are waiting to be given the ball. Furthermore, from what I saw of Cisse, he breaks up play very effectively but showed no tempo on the ball. Finally, JMD behind the front two? Not really done anything there so far. He seems a far better player when out wide and drifting in - probably because he can find space in which to operate out wide.

As it stands we have 26 professionals, 7 are injured with 1 suspended. The remaining include 3 keepers. Unless one of the injured players is fit again we wont even enough to fill the bench

He’s very good at running around aimlessly, I agree.

Diamonds are effective with the right personnel which we don’t have to suit that style.

It appears that no matter what best suits our team, we still continue to play one up top. At least we don’t want to get beat. Oh hang on that’s what normally happens....

Code: Select all

               Vigouroux
     Ekpiteta Coulson Happe
Judd Cisse Wright Brophy
                  JMD
         Wilkinson Angol
Very interesting. I'm surprised Ross hasn't tried that formation this season.
