I agree . No thanks . If we are to carry on progressing, we need players of the calibre of Charlie Kelman

Never go back in football. It rarely works.
Also, his wages, especially if it’s L1 next season, will be out of reach.

This. He seems way bulkier than he was when he was here and by the looks of it that has massively impacted his pace and agility.
It’s hard to believe that the bloke we saw on Saturday is the same one who scored that fantastic goal against Bromley where he sent 2 players to the shops in one movement.
Honestly, I barely recognised him on Saturday.
That was against non league Bromley.
Saturday he was playing against L1, Champinship bound Leyton Orient.
There’s bit of a difference.
That’s true, but I still think he looks way less mobile than the Koroma of old; regardless of opposition. He did look much stronger though, as demonstrated by the goal he scored which was essentially through brute force.
Either way, doesn’t strike me as an upgrade on anything we currently have based on Saturday’s performance.

Spoke to a Huddersfield supporter before the game, he didn't know I supported Orient. Asked him who their best player was and he said Koroma. Don't disagree that there was a lot of negativity for Koroma on the Huddersfield forum, not surprising after that back pass. Generally the Huddersfield fans want rid of all of them, not particularly Koroma. Not saying that he's better than Agyei, but both players are capable of being the difference and winning a game out of nothing. That said they can both go missing on a bad day. Good enough for our squad ahead of Jaiyesimi and Perkins IMHO, but probably not for the wages he will be looking for.

Brute force and a huge amount of skill too to get in v Beckles in the first place.
People are just being down on him because he left us to better himself.

Agreed. Would love him as an option in our squad but sure he’d want more than he’s worth.

As already mentioned looked a little bit bulky, but maybe not such a bad thing could add a bit of variety to the front line. A possible plan B or plan A.
However he has not really pushed on since leaving Orient in my opinion. He was a player we needed when we were conference, he was younger and seemed hungry.
Let’s remember him for the good things he did at this club but I think we could do and have better.

No-ones mentioned Macauley Bonne for 5 minutes!!
A failure of a goal-scorer in The National league now (Southend)!

Left us when we were non League and spent the last 5 years playing Championship/L1 football, but he hasn’t pushed on?

Confidence player who has clearly lost confidence.
Looks a bit out of shape too; wouldn’t get in a Wellens side unless he kicked himself into shape.
Based on his assist for our first goal, his heart is still at Orient !

Josh got dead lucky for his goal, Oma got there first and headed it - Koroma's head got in the way and deflected the ball into the one one trajectory for it to loop over Keeley. 100% fluke.

Fluke
He outmuscles Galbraith initially, beats REG with his trickery and pace to get the other side of him then is brave and strong going for a ball Omar should have cleaned out.
Was our second goal - simple cross which looped up and over their keeper, who mispunched it into the goal after making contact with his own defender - also a fluke?

Yes. Don’t think anyone’s disputing that.
Omar headed the ball and it hit Koroma’s head and went in. Both were flukes.

Neither are flukes.
It's amazing how lucky you get when 1) in JKs case, you use your strength, pace, trickery and determination to beat 3 opponents in the box and chase down a clearance and 2) in our case, get to the by-line and ping crosses into the 6 yard box and surround their keeper with Beccles and Cooper.....

Yes but doubt theres any comparison in their wage expectations, that's the issue.

Does Koroma move the needle enough in terms of quality if we lose Agyei and/or Williams. I’m not sure he does.

He was given a great opportunity but hasn’t really grab the chance. As mentioned by Huddersfield fans he is not that great and will not be missed. So yes I stand by my comment, he has not really progressed no offer of a new deal or impressed.

Good point but David Gandler might be putting more into the wage budget....

Don't see how you can say someone hasn't progressed when they've left non-league behind and spent the past 5 years playing and scoring in the Championship and L1. Bizarre.

If Richie wanted him, fine
33 goals in around 150 matches, plus a lot of assists and most of them at Championship level.
Still only 26.
Overall tend to think it doesn’t work out that well when players return.
But good luck to him, whatever he does. Should have a decent choice.

Whenever a player leaves Orient, as soon as his 'new' club release him, people on here cry for us to resign him.
Koroma was wonderful here a few years ago, but imo has gone backwards.
Not only that he isn't a Wellens type forward & never will be.
There are plenty of options out there, much better suited to our style

Has everyone gone mental?
He was a non-League player with us. He is now a Championship/L1 player. How can jumping up 2/3 divisions fit with going backwards?

Wash your mouth.
He single handedly stopped us being relegated out of the NL and then almost single handedly got us promoted the next season
