Looks a shell of his former self and doesn’t strike me as a Wellens type player. Wouldn’t be too upset if he came back tho

Agreed he looked to be missing something in both games against us, but I put that down to being because it was against us.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 4:27 pm Looks a shell of his former self and doesn’t strike me as a Wellens type player. Wouldn’t be too upset if he came back tho
Still a player there, for sure.

Re: Josh Koroma
Huddersfield fans might disagree with that - they panned him on their forum and not just for our game. They think he's pap.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 5:01 pmAgreed he looked to be missing something in both games against us, but I put that down to being because it was against us.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 4:27 pm Looks a shell of his former self and doesn’t strike me as a Wellens type player. Re: Josh Koroma
Mad to think he's only 26 - that hattrick he scored at Newport was March 2017 as an 18 year old, while the goal against Bromley at home and subsequent celebration in front of George Porter was in November 2018. I wouldn't have him back now - he wouldn't get into this current league 1 squad we have and we should only be looking to improve from here - I'd suggest he is past his peak ability/potential by now. Also wonder if we had any sell on clause agreed when we sold him - we'd lose out on that now he's been released, although I don't imagine his market value would be significant these days anyway

In our current squad he’d be behind Williams, agyei, O’Neill and abdulai. Not sure of the value he adds to the squad anymore.

He doesn't do a lot for me either. Good for the sporadic run and goal.BoniO wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 5:08 pmHuddersfield fans might disagree with that - they panned him on their forum and not just for our game. I disagree. He is better than Williams, Abdulai and O’Neill. Would take Agyei over him though.

Re: Josh Koroma
I thought he looked a bit on the porky side on Saturday. Possibly needs to cut down on the late night cocktails at the Las Vegas Discotheque in 'uddersfield.

Re: Josh Koroma
Would absolutely have him back, especially if Markanday and Williams go elsewhere.
On a free and heading into peak years I think Orient could help him rediscover his best form.

Re: Josh Koroma
He’s exactly the level of player we’re looking at - Championship experience, decent return in L1, not performing at his best.
My only concern is like Ruel he’s bit too much of a maverick. However Ruel was young enough for Richie to work on him.

Re: Josh Koroma
Nowhere near Williams's value nor Azeem's. If DJ still has an important role then maybe a re-aligned Koroma could challenge for that - if he got properly fit and at the same price. I hold the view that Terriers have mostly failed their own players in terms of their leadership.

Plus only 2 of the 4 mentioned are signed on for next season.Beradogs wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 5:58 pmGreenwich Orient wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 5:45 pm In our current squad he’d be behind Williams, agyei, O’Neill and abdulai. Not sure of the value he adds to the squad anymore.

Re: Josh Koroma
Didn’t work on Ruel though did it? I really don’t get the fascination with ex players who don’t seem to be doing well. He’s not liked at ‘udders so why bank on Richie performing a miracle on him. I’ll pass ta.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 7:05 pmHe’s exactly the level of player we’re looking at - Championship experience, decent return in L1, not performing at his best.

Re: Josh Koroma
This. He seems way bulkier than he was when he was here and by the looks of it that has massively impacted his pace and agility.
It’s hard to believe that the bloke we saw on Saturday is the same one who scored that fantastic goal against Bromley where he sent 2 players to the shops in one movement.
Honestly, I barely recognised him on Saturday.

Re: Josh Koroma
He does look like he's aged 10 years rather than the 5-ish it's been since he left us. Still one of their better performers on the day and remembered his roots with that first goal. The Reverend wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 9:33 pmThis. Unless we're going to suddenly be playing with big transfer fees and even bigger wages polishing rough diamonds what we do.
As for the Ruel discussion, no comparison in both ability and attitude.

That was against non league Bromley. The Reverend wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 9:33 pmThis. He seems way bulkier than he was when he was here and by the looks of it that has massively impacted his pace and agility.

Saturday he was playing against L1, Champinship bound Leyton Orient.
There’s bit of a difference.
