Games without TJ in Dec/Jan and the impact his injury had on our results:

Barnsley 0 - 4 Leyton
Leyton Orient 3 - 0 Crawley
Leyton Orient 2 - 0 Cambridge U
Bristol R 2 - 3 Leyton Orient
Leyton Orient 1 - 0 Shrewsbury

(TJs last game was the 0-0 draw at home to Burton before he was injured. His first game back was the 1-1 draw with Derby).

Why are you listing Games we won where our defence
Didn't cost us wins?
Games we lost without T . JAMES
Bolton lost 2-1
Birmingham lost 2-0
Charlton lost 1-2
Rotherham lost 1-0
Northampton lost 1-2 .

Let's go to the start of the season & games TJ didn't play in & that Dan Happe did

Charlton a lost 1-0
Birmingham h lost 1-2
Shrewsbury a lost 3-0
Wycombe a lost 3-0

2 games TJ starts surprise surprise
Reading a won 1-0
Stockport a won 4-1

But you carry on believing that TJ isn't the important cog in the team that gives balance to our defence & let's the midfield be the midfield.
I'll believe very differently.

This isn't about me,

This about understanding how much balance
that Tom James brings to a back four that also has Dan Happe & Omar Beckles in it & the complete structure of the way Richie Wellens wants to play football.
If you can't see that then I don’t know what you have been watching for the last 3 years.

Sweeney was substituted at HT and it looked like Williams played LB. Was Sweeney injured ?
Think it was to leave the attackers on and get Kelman on. Williams looked ok at lb, although wasn’t tested other than by poor passes from Brown and Keeley.
We had much more width in the second half when Williams moved to LB - think it enabled us to open the pitch up. Couldn’t understand in the first half why we were so narrow when we have 2 very good wingers on the pitch and a very capable striker to put balls into from wide positions

Look, I like TJ a lot. We have missed him. Just we’ve missed Beckles and Happe much more.

But he is the complete antithesis of a Wellens fullback. Surely everyone can see that?

None of us are to old for learning something
You're normally quite sensible but sometimes you do go a touch over the top.
Allow us all to have a view & an opinion

We understand, Tom.

But I'm not sure Richie fancies you that much, as he has often replaced you with Galbraith and Clare.

I think we miss James and Happe mostly, because of their contributions . It all went downhill after the£ club announced a new buyer.
Confidence all went 🤷🏽‍♂️

Beckles/Happe/James, would love to know our win /loss /goals conceded stats when these 3 play 90 mins together! (Apart from when Hemming was behind them).
