I’m not saying that Spurs are gonna over react. I’m saying that Wellens’ mouth will land him in trouble if he’s not careful

Is it not the case that the Spurs Women’s Team play their home games on “our” pitch?

If one party is that sensitive, it’s not a healthy relationship and you’re better off out of it. I’m pretty sure Ange won’t give a f***, and this is just Spurs fans being all Spursy.
100% this, the poor little things

Poor Ange needs all the support he can get. Not this. Suggest that Wellens phones him and offers to take him for a drink or three.

Silly comment that unnecessarily digs out someone struggling in their job and I've said before his tendency to run his mouth off is probably why he's not managing a bigger club. But no chance does it affect our relationship with Spurs, it's too beneficial to both for a throw away comment to tank it.

He’s not managing a bigger club because of his track record before coming here.

Ultimately, there just is something very funny about the fact that Wellens has no filter in interviews. Anyone thinking he’s out of order is overreacting, but when things go wrong, you can see how that lack of filter might make him easier to get rid of

No one’s mentioned Donley. Can’t imagine him or his family are too happy about it. It’s his club Richie is digging out.

You haven’t mentioned Keeley. Can’t imagine him or his family are too happy about you not including him in your woke snowflakes nonsense.

Monday morning training:
Richie: Jamie, a word please.
Jamie Donley: “what is it?”
RW: “you’re not your normal self today, your passes are going astray and you have a distant look in your eye. What is it?
JD: “it’s… it’s nothing”
RW: “you need to tell me, because you’re better than this”
JD: “…. I… I don’t know how to say it, but… but you were so MEAN. You’re not my real boss, and Mr Postecoglu has not complained about injuries. I… I just don’t know if I can perform to the best of my ability for a man with such a cavalier disregard for the feelings of a fellow human.
RW: “hmmm, now look mate, it’s just a bit of banter, you’re gonna have to be more prof… KEELEY!!!! WHAT WAS THAT??”
Keeley “I’m sorry boss, as I went for the cross the sun was in my eyes”
RW “the sun was in your eyes? Lad you need to not be fazed by stuff like that”
Keeley: “no u hadn’t finished, the sun was in my eyes, and it got me thinking about the sun that you stole from the heart of our gaffer at Spurs. We were talking with our mams and dads last night and we all agree that any team would suffer if they lost 11 first team players, including the speedy Micky Van De Ven. I just don’t know if I can catch footballs for a man with such a mean spirited attitude to a manager whose philosophy is a breath of fresh air”

Oh yes. Keeley as well. Wouldn’t surprise me if they recall both and just to spite us make a double swoop for Howes and Moncur. What a nightmare.

The truth hurts. Poor old Ange. RW does need to have a filter though

All sounds a mountain out of a molehill
I didn’t even notice anything till RW apologised, that probably brought it to a wider audience.

Richie is right about ange, probs need to have a filter but the media and spurs fans are definitely overreacting. We all knew that eventually richie would say or do something that would get a lot of attention, just who he is

Ange would know better than anybody else what it feels like to be without so many of your first team players . Therefore he would know how Richie feels like after that defeat . It was a daft throwaway comment in the heat of the moment . Richie has apologised for it so that should be the end of it . We move on .

A couple of thoughts on this:
- Absolutely no-one at Spurs will care about this in the slightest, clearly. I imagine there'll be a more formal apology from Richie which will at best raise a smirk from Ange. Some of the hyperbole on THE SOCIALS is bonkers - this incident will not even register at the end of the season when Spurs get back two match-hardened youngsters.
- I do wish Richie would respond to Dave with a bit more rationality and respect. His responses in these interviews frequently feel a bit snippy - the thing is though is that those interviews is one of only two regular avenues that he gets to communicate with the fans (the other being the pre-match interviews with the media team, in which he's generally a lot calmer and polite), so they're going to get watched a bit more than he perhaps gives credit. Yes Dave can ask some daft questions, but the fanbase has a lot of daft people with daft opinions too, you can disagree with a question without being a bit of an arse about it.

Some of the inane stuff DV asks you wouldn't even get from socials or forums, but then again what else would you expect from a commentator who gets the players' names wrong
Don't go asking the manager to name his signing targets for example, that's just ridiculous

The referee did have a shocker. Free kick that led to their goal wasn’t. He missed the nasty tackle on Prats completely. Them going down to ten men changes the game completely. He’s not booked the centre back for the blatant obstruction to halt our attack and like you say hasn’t given the penalty.
Stockport on the day were better than us but the ref certainly did us no favours.
