Seems a moot-point whether the attackers were far-right fascists. I doubt most of these types, on either side of the political spectrum, have even heard of him.
I've read 2 or 3 of his books, and though I don't agree with his stance on many levels, one thing that came across is he cares, very much, about ordinary people.

In regards to the most in your face facism which I guess you are referring to, the issue of Islamofascism and Wahhabism is a big one but the western left often come to the defence of these which is a major issue. This has contributed to the rise of traditional western far right fascism which also needs stamping out at the same time. The human race is f*cked.
We could even open up the debate about the far left/antifa, who are maybe the most realistic example of fascists around at the current time if we want simple labels.
No, they aren't. 'antifa' is a horrible Americanism and an umbrella term created to give a false equivalency to the behaviour to fringes on the left as right.

I'd like someone who has mentioned the word fascist on this thread to provide evidence of this. Just because its someone with leftist leanings, it does not mean someone from the right has beaten them up - or "far right types". Dressing it up as political masks what's probably the true situation.
These are low-life scum that threaten all sections of society; they'd fight their own brother after a few beers over an offside decision. In my opinion they deserve to have the book thrown at them.

I imagine that, having received various threats online from far right activists and followers and considering that, by his account, people were waiting for him outside, it's not too much of a stretch to believe this isn't just a random drunken assault.
But you could easily have predicted those who say it is.

Tommy Robinson has been attacked lots of times. Do we assume there are gangs of Antifa out every night just waiting to pounce on anyone from the right or do we assume the bloke is a cnut and people love an opportunity to give him a whack.
