We already have George Moncur
By all accounts Moncur has lost weight and on his day he's very good .
Yes, well unfortunately Dwarfy today wasn’t one of those days. Moncur came on as a sub at HT , didn’t do much, and was hooked with 15 mins to go. I really want George to do well but I feel Galbraith is well in front of him now.
Yeah, unfortunately it sounds like Moncur has slipped backwards again. It’s disappointing

He was subbed on Saturday after 30 mins. Looked like he was knackered and the game was passing him by. We looked so much better when he went off

There is always big teams in League 1. Maybe a few more than normal this season, but if we are waiting for there not to be any we will have a long wait
No chance of there being no big teams in the league, but with the likes of Birmingham City having a player budget of £20m, Barnsley having a weekly wage bill of nearly £80k, and teams like Bolton, Blackpool, Charlton, Peterborough, Reading who now start without points pen. Thats without your Burtons and Wrexham who will both be a force
The league is tough this year (Richie's words not mine). I wonder if they are holding back so we could possibly go out and spend next season when the league looks more competitive for us.?
But we could be back in League Two by then

It makes our midfield signings even more important since we can’t rely on Moncur anymore

There's enough in this squad to finish mid table and then push on next season.

Only 3 teams can go up and they could easily be replaced by big teams coming down. We have to accept this will always be a tough league

I suppose if the club can find someone to take Pigott on then we should be able to find a willing suitor for Moncur, although his salary may be an issue. I just don’t see him getting a lot of pitch time especially if we do make a couple of signings.

I don't disagree, will probably be a couple more seasons before we promoted again.
