Sounds good to this 68 year oldLong slender neck wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 6:32 pm Get rid of the tired old catering options such as tea, coffee, burgers and pies. Revamp the menu with stuff younger people are interested in like Prime, west African cuisine and vegan options.
Bring it on - can’t wait!Long slender neck wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 6:51 pm Infuriate Legacy Fans with a modern club structure and style of play (in progress)
Bet you’re a Spuds fanHolybourne Identity wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 7:04 pm Scrap concession prices so that hardworking families don’t subsidise those who don’t have mortgage, but do enjoy free travel and inflation-linked pensions. Its pretty crazy that, in the absence of means testing, the squeezed worker pays more than those with often substantially more disposable income.
Spoken like a true Tory and/or a Spuds supporterLong slender neck wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 7:14 pm He's right, the only poor oaps are the ones who made a mess of their working lives.

Actually a serious point that applies to so much.Holybourne Identity wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 7:04 pm Scrap concession prices so that hardworking families don’t subsidise those who don’t have mortgage, but do enjoy free travel and inflation-linked pensions. But it’s basically bollox though. I’d like to see how many pensioners have inflation linked pensions - unless it’s a reference to the pitiful state pension. Most pensioners have been part of “hardworking families” and paid taxes and NI which helped support the older members of society while they were working. It seems relatively new that some “younger” people see older people as a drain on resources and are unwilling to support them as my generation did. As for the sweeping generalisation that older people often have more disposable income, well that’s all it is. Lazy stereotyping. I wonder what your views will be when you’re of pensionable age…….Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 9:32 pmActually a serious point that applies to so much.Holybourne Identity wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 7:04 pm Scrap concession prices so that hardworking families don’t subsidise those who don’t have mortgage, but do enjoy free travel and inflation-linked pensions. As pensioners did this all theiir lives its only right . Cant be blaming them for the F#ck up the youngs have made of their working lives !Holybourne Identity wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 7:04 pm Scrap concession prices so that hardworking families don’t subsidise those who don’t have mortgage, but do enjoy free travel and inflation-linked pensions. Speaking as a rapidly-becoming-oldie - If the youngs could actually be bothered to vote rather than just playing angry birds then we might not be in such a mess.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 12:08 amOld people don't make policies that pander to themselves.
So are most LEGACY fans. Ageist!!!!!!Long slender neck wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 4:48 pmMost modern fans are capable of supporting more than one side. I believe it is now time for our Legacy fans to step aside so the new generation can drive the club further up the leagues.
Legacy fans are taking up all the seats and space in the supporters club, taking too long in the bogs and when purchasing refreshments and in the club shop. They also cant do simple things like use a website to buy tickets or walk down stairs at an acceptable speed. They dont use public transport.
They also moan a lot and stink.
We need an Orient Legacy Fans Retirement Transition Strategy (OLF-RTS) Those who cannot amend their ways, should make way, so that the club can progress. I think each fan over 60 should be assessed on the points above and perhaps face a financial penalty should they fail to make the grade.
I welcome the action from the council of making it increasingly difficult to park in the local area. The club should take action an remove the concession for OAPs.
Any other ideas as i haven't really thought this through?
