Do you mean Billy Zane. Now that would be Titanic.
August 2018, discussion about Harrold *if* he could stay fit
Tbf he has suffered injury with us, but looking at wiki he seems to play a lot of games every season bar one so for sure he picks up knocks that will take longer to heal due to age but he don’t seem a sick note player.gshaw wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 6:44 pmAugust 2018, discussion about Harrold *if* he could stay fit

Let's not rewrite history eh?
Hit it on the nail with age, barring a few anomalies like McAnuff, Giggs etc. most players pick up more injuries with age. Harrold seemed to be in that phase with us and JE was switched on to it and managed his game time to get maximum impact and availability.dOh Nut wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 7:19 pmTbf he has suffered injury with us, but looking at wiki he seems to play a lot of games every season bar one so for sure he picks up knocks that will take longer to heal due to age but he don’t seem a sick note player.gshaw wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 6:44 pmAugust 2018, discussion about Harrold *if* he could stay fit

I would be surprised if there were question marks over his fitness levels. No need to give him a deal and I’m sure there are younger players out there ok at being an impact type player, Alabi for starters. So the club must be satisfied he can do a job if the need arises But if he does pick up a knock he is more likely to be out for a while. I doubt he will start many games unless others are out.gshaw wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 7:22 pmHit it on the nail with age, barring a few anomalies like McAnuff, Giggs etc. most players pick up more injuries with age. Starting him and making a 35 y/o striker chase after long balls for 90 mins is a different story imo.
Which goes back to the point that Angol and Wilkinson need to be fit and ready pretty much every game or we'll be starting with AlabidOh Nut wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 7:33 pmI would be surprised if there were question marks over his fitness levels. Yup missed that entirely, you got me fair and square there
Some good some not so but fairly serviceable overall.
Harrold started three games last season. Neither him nor Alabi were good enough to start for us in the National League, let alone a division higher.
Lucky he's not going to be starting that many games then.RicketyCricket wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 10:29 pmHarrold started three games last season. Neither him nor Alabi were good enough to start for us in the National League, let alone a division higher.
Hope rather than expectation from me. With that pairing I hope for the best but expected exactly what we got. Nothing. Still early days and hope lingers on. Hope is what we have instead of a new striker.
What happens if Wilkinson or Angol are out injured? Playing one up top would be the only option - not a good position to be in.Red_Army wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 10:31 pmLucky he's not going to be starting that many games then.RicketyCricket wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 10:29 pmHarrold started three games last season. And that will happen. We have to hope Harold and Alabi perform.RicketyCricket wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 10:56 pmWhat happens if Wilkinson or Angol are out injured? I reckon Harrold would play, and I'd back him to do a decent job.RicketyCricket wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 10:56 pmWhat happens if Wilkinson or Angol are out injured?
