Even they will have a limit to how much they can or want to put in. It's pretty much unsustainable in the long run and many clubs are in a mess because of it.

I wouldn't have a problem with that, but it's not what I'm saying.

I'm just saying that it's unsustainable to expect owners to stump up money hand over fist, buying all the top quality players we as fans want, while keeping all prices low and having no sponsors.

I would be concerned if they were monetising the club for their own personal gain, but we all know that's not the case.

Where the hell do you think money comes from to run the club. You don't have to take advantage of the hospitality deal if you begrudge spending over the odds for food but in a great place and atmosphere, Quite honestly, if enough people were prepared to pay £50 each for this, that would make sound commercial sense.

Clearly you don't run a business or have any idea of costs/overheads etc. I'm sure you'd be the first to complain if economies were made on the size of the first team. Get off you hobby horse and start supporting our club in anyway you can, beit with a season ticket, pint, pie or hospitality. Get real.

Yes I suspect you are in the minority. With food and excellent beer at very reasonable prices in the supporters club, no one is pricing you out. All you have to do is make a choice, sit down meal with wine/ keg beer at over £30.00 or a roll and pint for around a fiver. Yes it may be a ‘tiered way of supporting the club’ but so what . Both venues create income for the club. Personally I prefer the supporters club but sometimes use the hospitality package. My choice, my money and Apple Ramble has exactly the same choice, as does every single supporter of our club.

One small point, unlike the hospitality package you have to pay to be a member of the supporters club or if not you get charged £1.00 per match. That’s £23 a season, is that also pricing people out? Don’t think local pubs make any charge for admission.

Unfortunately missing the point again. Regardless of if you or I can afford it. Going from 25 quid to 39 for a pre match meal will 100% mean some people now won’t be able to afford it. Now obviously in some people’s opinion, that’s fine. In my opinion it’s not.

Putting it in a way you may understand.what if next week the SC announced that admission was now a fiver, the roll and a pint now costs you 15 quid. You may well say ‘well,’that’s absolutely fine, the money goes to a good place’ but it could also potentially price you out and you’d have to eat at home, meaning that a part of your match day experience that you obviously enjoy, is gone.

Look, I’m not saying the club should put on a soup kitchen for free, or even that it isn’t worth the money (the food could be glorious), but over the last year, for a lot of people, supporting Orient has become a lot more expensive and commercial. Again, you might be happy with that but for me, it’s a worrying trend.
