Actually not a bad shout. I've just checked on Google maps and, if you stroll into the town centre, there's a Wimpy and County Kebab right next to each other. Both have decent reviews too.

Pretty sure they have endless supplies of Highland Shortbread at this location too.

Indeed. However, it's not all good news. This is the view as you sit munching on your Wimpey burger:

Similarly to Ron I have UD Lanzarote as my holiday team.
Failing that, probably Cardiff City or Concord Rangers.

An old work colleague of mine was a Patrick Thistle supporter . He reckons playing Cowdenbeath away during winter you’d freeze your bollocks off . Standing on the terracing he said you can easily look over the wall and see rolling countryside and hills ( mountains) in the distance . The freezing wind used to cut them in half . Said he was so cold his balls were like half a walnut 😎😆

Good point. The rapacious vulturistic venture capitalist who pretends he is but a humble shepherd operating from a butt'n'ben croft on Skye looks like he likes large quantities of shortbreed. Competion for that and other baked biscuits snacks will be fierce.

Peterborough. My son's a Posh fan, so they've become my second team, and his second team is the O's.

Perhaps it was a bad idea suggesting a location of the Shetlands. Judging by the BBC, they have an appalling crime rate and Jimmy Perez is not doing a very good job at cleaning things up.

When I was a kid I always liked St Mirren because of their stripey shirts. I know nothing about them.

Also Jimmy got himself into bother the other day on Twitter on a football related matter when he described Sevco fans as "Huns". He later apologised and deleted the faux pas

They have so many ex Motherwell players, manager etc these days that the rest of the SPFL are demanding they change their name to St Mirrwell.

Forgot to mention my lame to fame Shetland connection. My daughters ex-boyfriend was the brother of the girl who plays Jimmy's daughter.

Spurs.

The only reason I support Orient is because my dad was worried I was starting to like Arsenal in 1993 when they were in the cup competitions and thought he would rather have me adopted than accept that. Plus the season tickets became £10 soon after. and we couldn't afford Spurs.

Still am a Spurs fan really. Helps when the old man was born 3 roads away and went to school across from the stadium.

If for non-family reasons/european side. Shamrock Rovers is the best atmosphere of a team I've gone to see, so probably them.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Preston North End.

Continuing my lifelong theme of supporting my local club (that's how I started watching Orient as I lived in Markhouse Road 1987-1991) it would be my nearest league team. Right now that would be Scotland's newest league club - Bonnyrigg Rose.

Bray Wanderers. Used to go to Dalkey quite a bit, great part of the world, so had some good nights watching them. The PA set up in the main stand looked like a Matsui midi system and after one game they announced the players would be drinking in the local hotel bar if any supporters wanted to join them, which mightily impressed me.

Interesting that quite a few of us (or, those of us who have understood the premise of the thread, at least) have opted for Scottish teams.

I guess it just goes to prove that loving rubbish football is in our DNA.

Actually it is already Spurs.
