Not sure I buy this as there is no version of the future where Russia dominates Europe, even with it's leadership fragmented. It's population, economy and military are dwarfed by Europe. It's taken years to capture a segment of a dirt poor, much smaller neighbour. There is zero chance it could deal with just Poland.

Completely agree re Russia. But that doesn't rule out that this could be the Trumipian strategy regardless. Only, a Europe left to fend for itself, could soon start to see the emergence of age old disputes.

Let's hope so. One day Alba will be free.

Yes , I've just watched that and all I can say is wow . I've never seen anything like it and in front of the world's camera's. I felt sorry for Zelensky because you could see the anxiety on his face . Yes , I was a Trump supporter because I thought he would be a strong leader and a leading light but I have to say I'm disappointed with him after watching that . Like I said before , I stand with Ukraine and her lion hearted people . Putin is a grade A Cnut.
Edit .I'm that disappointed in Trump this evening that I've taken my first step in regretting supporting him . I think you all might know me well enough on here to know that I don't say that lightly .

The USA has a president who is seriously unstable IMO, and a vice-president who should learn some manners. They have shown their true colours, and it’s deeply worrying.

And the only reason meeting was conducted in front of the world’s press was to bolster their failing performances.

Unfortunately without American support I don't think we can . I doubt we have the money or military strength to do it . The one thing I'm sure about is we can't put any boots on the ground in Ukraine . I believe that would be a suicidal move which could lead to WW3.

They are going to get China to join their little club soon. The 3 will carve up the rest of us and there will be nothing we can do to stop them

Stupidly only just realised this is all money related. The bullying face of pure capitalism.

Trump wants to make billions from this minerals for years to come and brag to the American public about how much money he has made, probably setting some aside for himself and only then would he agree to American securities. But Zelenskyy has told him to do one so he’s set up up an ambush to try to embarrass him.

Assume it’s also the reason starmer has bent the knee and committing more money to defence, because the weapons will be coming from America?
