Believe it or not, I’m not a Republican . My views tend to straddle both left and right . I despair of both main political parties. Both have been given a chance and both have buggered things up . I’ve come to the conclusion there isn’t a politician born I agreeMax B Gold wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 12:16 pmI don't think Dwarf""""yyy is a republican but I could be wrong.Dunners wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 11:35 amMax B Gold wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 11:31 am IMHO, I seriously doubt neither you or Dunners can be described as Lefties. We've reached a point where a republican who believes in organised labour, and reducing wealth inequality is no longer described as a lefty.
If you were less sectarian you might just get the trendy lefty tag you crave for.
There can be and certainly without Zelensky , he will be gone with few weeks.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 6:43 pmYou are jumping the gun nothing has been decided yet. But you seem happy to champion Trump - even though he’s now showing his true colours. His appeasement of Putin is sickening, done purely for his own gratification and profit. Yet you still support him?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 1:37 pmBelieve it or not, I’m not a Republican . My views tend to straddle both left and right . Im interested in this. Why has this and other examples happened of trad leftie views now being a foundation of the right?Max B Gold wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 12:16 pmI don't think Dwarf""""yyy is a republican but I could be wrong.Dunners wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 11:35 amMax B Gold wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 11:31 am IMHO, I seriously doubt neither you or Dunners can be described as Lefties. We've reached a point where a republican who believes in organised labour, and reducing wealth inequality is no longer described as a lefty.

I think it's because being being a lefty, and being a wet liberal lettuce, have become conflated positions. Although, and I have found this interesting, some of the most anti-corporatist/globalist elite views I'm coming across are actually being expressed from the hard right.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 2:39 pmIm interested in this. Maybe you need to look beyond the rhetoric of the far right. It's more a matter of what they do not what they say.Dunners wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 3:01 pmI think it's because being being a lefty, and being a wet liberal lettuce, have become conflated positions. I think you've missed the point I was trying to make. There is clearly a broad constituency for rejecting the agenda of the global capital elite. If the left could stop being so easily dragged into absurdist extremes on cultural positions, and focus on clear messaging around economic issues, they would probably be doing a lot better than they currently are.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 3:40 pmMaybe you need to look beyond the rhetoric of the far right. That’s what I mean. 20 years ago the conspiracy theories were all on the left and the enemy was the right wing establishment. Now it’s the opposite. Right wing looneys blaming “woke liberal” governments on the left.Dunners wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 3:57 pmI think you've missed the point I was trying to make. Maintaining such discipline could also have reduced the available oxygen for the far right to exploit and propagate.
It really is just a case that unless you simper to trump he’s your enemy. And if you don’t you can play him to your exampleMistadobalina wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 4:11 pm How is skin that thin holding back so much fat.

That is true. To do it took a lot money, bad actors and political parties who had no problem with the rich getting stinking rich.BoniO wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 4:26 pmThe Right just made a much better job of exploiting internet access to the masses.
