Took longer than usual

Cheated with a crossword solver after 2 guesses and five minutes staring at the screen. Do people still LOL on the Internet? If so, I am at BoniO's 3rd guess.

Why cheat?

Well, I had stared at line 2 for about 20 minutes before having a stab at it. No cheating involved. Honest injun.

Just couldn’t see it for looking. It’s as if the word was camouflaged ffs.

Because i get bored if I've been staring at it for more than a few minutes and can't think of any word but if I leave it unsolved it'll bug me just a little bit for the rest of the day.

But what about if you've been wrongly accusing of cheating? I'm so upset, I doubt I'll sleep tonight!

Maybe a tiny bit, but mainly makes it quicker rather than reducing my score.

Is it cheating if you obtain potential words from other sources? I’m not sure it is.

Cheating to me is those who are completing it on one device , finding out the answer, then completing it on another and publishing that score.

As ive only got the 1 device , Id have to ask why anyone would use two ?

More information than perhaps needed but I usually complete it during the sedentary part of my morning ablutions and find that process allows sufficient time. On the rare occasion I haven't got it by the time I need to use a hand for something other than holding a phone I have on occasion used the information I've got to pick a word from the available list using the crossword solver. I always use STARE to start and then either BLINK or CLOUD if there's not much else to go on. Today that meant I was fairly certain of the starting letter and knew a vowel in the middle but couldn't think of any words that fitted that pattern.

It's cheating in that it solves it quicker but not a method that's going to improve an overall score much.

It occurred to me that someone could use other peoples results to cheat if they know what starting word they use.
