That tells me, we are not good enough, & we will finish around 8th to 10th.
Maybe if the new owners come in, and are loaded, we can get that extra little bit to make us a promotion team, I hope so.
If somehow we fluked promotion this season, we would almost certainly be in a relegation fight next season, where virtually all the teams would be better than us. I wouldn't like that, seeing us get beat week after week after week etc
Richie has done wonders with our budget, and I think he's the best manager we've ever had at the club.
We are good enough if we didn’t have so many injuries . What’s letting us down at the moment is our defence . We have five defenders missing. James , Currie , Happe . Beckles and Simpson . Getting them back would make a big difference.

All about perspective. Anyone offer anyone on here 8th, 3pts outside the playoffs with 12 to play would have said yes.

Nevermind 3 short months ago when we were in the relegation fight.

Even Richie said the playoffs were impossible this year, several times

Just booked to go away in May , I personally didn't think we'll be in the playoffs.

But also, at a crucial part of the season, as we make a challenge for promotion, we also won three matches on the spin. That was good, wasn't it?
Of course it was. Are you intimating then, that I as a long supporting O's fan, would think any different?
It was merely inversely repeating the question you asked, that's all sweet cheeks x

You should do it more often for those who are having memory issues it's a cool literary device.

I don't think we will either. Not good enough against the better teams tbh

That's right, and that's because you couldn't answer it properly, as your reasoning in exchanging different views and perspectives on football is a nonsense.

Indeed, at start of the season my hopes were for a comfortable L1 finish and a good FA Cup run. We're on course for that and playoffs are a stretch target.

It's a shame that having seen an impressive January window the fixture schedule and injuries have done for us in defence, just imagine if we hadn't signed REG it'd be really desperate stuff.

The only downside is that we can't build on the current setup next season as we've got all the loanees probably going back plus a bunch out of contract then Richie has to do it all over again.

We really need to win promotion this season to stand a chance of keeping Donley, Keeley, Galbraith possibly Agyei next season.
And the biggest ‘keep’ would be Wellens
How many seasons will he be happy being a miracle worker and fashioning a new squad almost from scratch each season, well, at least 50%, and mainly the better players
Lastly, promotion may well help Nige woo the potential investors. Championship club, just £200m required for ground & players, roll up, roll up.

I literally did answer the question and agreed that losing 3 games on the bounce was a bad thing. Are you ok?

All this talk of having to build a new squad each season - with 2 year deals being the norm, that's pretty standard for everyone.

I think maybe part of the problems is that as we rarely pay a transfer fee for our players we get players except our home grown ones that are not top notch and have a history of injuries, too many sick notes.

Then why did you question me for saying we have lost 3 on the trot. Maybe just for argumentative reasons....yeah, that's about it.
