We will not hear anything until they resign or sign for another club. The contracts offered could be withdrawn by us but unlikely

I would imagine existing contracts run until the end of June, so they still have income, but most would like to be signed up somewhere by the beginning of July to retain income. Obviously many players end up as triallists in July, although I don't think that applies to our better players who probably have several suitors. Surprised Byrne and Sodje haven't signed, perhaps they have NL teams interested who might also be offering first team football.

Difficult for the club who won't want to shut doors, but it wouldn't really be fair to negotiate with new players, only to back out if an existing player resigns.

Negotiations will be ongoing between multiple clubs and players simultaneously. Of course it's fair for a club or player to back out if they have reached an agreement elsewhere.

So if Byrne doesn't sign and Vigoroux goes as it's rumoured we won't have a keeper on our books with sergeant already gone 🤔

Byrne won't start any games for us even if he does sign. This is the least of our concerns.

Byrne was on 30k a year until he signed his new contract .
