Doesn't matter that Grimsby have signed 5 players - that makes them an outlier and too many new players in their team could potentially help us on Saturday.

We've only signed a keeper so far but he has improved us. We don't need to recruit all the players we need immediately, just as long as we actually do and we genuinely improve.

You might want to consider that not many players want to join us
Why not?

We are a big club in League 2, aren’t we?
Nope not anymore. No ambition and its little old leyton orient once more.

We are a big club at this level still, of course. But would you want to come here at the minute?

We are not a big club, if we were we would attract good quality signings and be able to pay them what they are worth in today’s market place.
If we were a big club we would have signed a proven, experienced Manager at this level and above instead of Lings best mate Embleton who is not proven or experienced at this level or above as a Manager.

The money is still flowing up Salford way then?
Several signings so far this window, all decent, could take them near to a play off place, but in reality, they are planning for promotion next season

I guess so, Lim who owns 40% is now the agreed official financial backer with the class of 92 taking more a back seat financially. Gary Neville announced this sometime ago, he never explained why though.

Probably because they were starting to realise how much you can lose running a football club as it moves up the pyramid. Most footballers are takers - whether it be the money, the adulation, or simply the spotlight.
