Harmless but utterly pointless symbolism which I missed as I was taking Mrs A’s dinner upstairs as she’s now quarantined with symptoms.

As has been said elsewhere and by a nurse friend earlier - it’s nice but some f*cking PPE and test kits would be handier.

Who is partaking ?

Do we think they deserve a little support back from us all ?

I certainly do & i may be doing it on my own .

At least it.keeps my hands busy !!

Filthy feckers !!!

I meant from washing them !!
I have seen many futile gestures over the years. This one takes the biscuit.
You know how you black cabbies do that geeat stuff for disabled kids ,?

Well this is our tiny way of showing support to the health service .

Futile or not if nurses & doctors get to go to work the next day because people appreciate them , maybe theyll have a secind less of a stressful day.

You are getting far to much of Old Geezer Max

I have no neighbours in earshot, but pals in the town tell me it was pretty loud there.

I hope it cheers up the NHS staff (pals who work for the service were appreciative on social media). i suppose it's a bit more concrete than sending "thoughts and prayers". Still not as good as a full set of PPE.

Well that is one load of old bollox. The NHS staff will go to work with or without a Jeremy Beadle handclap because they are dedicated and valued professionals.

I didn't get where I am today without recognising a futile gesture when I see it.

I suppose what's getting on my tits really is that we are now dependent upon the one shining beacon of socialism (The NHS) that we have left but yet the Tories and Noo Labor have been dismantling it for decades and leaving us all exposed to situations like this

Not to mention the fukwits who voted Tory at the last election whose lives now depend on it.

Yeah ok Cee Jay , im not Reggie Perrin !!

Futile gestures can go a long long way .

I was with my mum in hospital 1 evening after visiting hours
( the nurses & ward mamager encouraged me to be there ) ,

A patient sadly passed away , the 2 Main nurses on the shift had tried there damndest to
keep her alive until the crash team arrived but to no avail,
They were both very down & all i had was 3 fruitella in my pocket

I walked over gave 1 to each & said i know its nothing but its all ive got.

If you could know how my Mum my Sisters & my nieces were treated after was
simply unbelievable . 1 of the doctors commented to me about being extraordinarily kind ,
I asked him what he was on about & he just said "Fruitella ".

Yes they do there work because it is dedication .
Sometimes a small thankyou at the right time goes a million miles.
