Re: Ebbsfleet Having a Clearout of Contracted Players
No thanks. But sure that they will be able to stay in the division.
Hill has done a remarkable job considering the circumstances.
Gotta be among the favourites for relegation next year.
Think Alabi would be a good signing for a side like this.

I would prefer Paul McCallum to Michael Cheek.

Ashmore as backup to Brill would be good
Adams and his ambition can stay in the NL, see how long he makes his next club wait for a decision now he's being released.

Wonder if Disroriented and Cheddar Bob will follow Adams from Ebbsfleet - Wonder if they regret leaving the O's last summer................

Re: Ebbsfleet Having a Clearout of Contracted Players
I think they will end up asking the league for relegation due to financial pressures.
I would take Adam's back, but my opinion does not matter, only ML and JE matter and I wonder if its a case of once bitten twice shy.

A big AGREE !!
As to if JE and ML will agree is another thing. Surely a time to move on forget what happened last season, ( e.g a young player listening too much to his agent ) and sign a very good holding midfield player who will tick all the boxes for what we need in that position.

Re: Ebbsfleet Having a Clearout of Contracted Players
I actually agree with this. Not in a "can't let go of the past way" but from a viewpoint of stocking up on youngish assets that can improve and will be motivated to further themselves and contribute to the team. He could become a core player or provide good quality depth and we should be considering players with that sort of upside at a position of need.
As for Whiteley...wasn't it said his best position was as a number 10? If so we already have Maguire-Drew, Brophy and even Koroma who can fulfill that role. So he's not a player I'd go for.

I would take Ebou back in a heartbeat. He's better than any CM we have here now ( except Clay), and would improve our side.
He made a mistake last summer not signing for us, but we all make them, especially when we're 23/23 yrs old

Adams has been done to death but here goes. I wouldn't be against him signing but I don't think he would improve us to enough of an extent as to potentially disrupt the dressing room.
We are back in league 2 now so our horizions have opeened up somewhat in terms of signing players.

He’s good no doubt about it, but each time I’ve seen him he seems to be getting fatter. I quite like the Dover keeper and the there’s a young keeper on loan from a big club can’t reember his name, but it was towards the end of the season,I think he’s England’s U20 keeper as well, he looked good as well.

Re: Ebbsfleet Having a Clearout of Contracted Players
Feel sorry for Adams. Poor advice, stories of ambition, deadlines. How he must regret his decision now, being dumped by Ebbsfleet, with us as Champions now in L2. Boy did he get that wrong.
Seems he has another deadline now, help finding a new club. Clearly Ebbsfleet don’t feel he is worth keeping on, a worry, so why should we feel he has developed enough in the right direction and is good enough for L2. If he was they would be keeping him on. Unless his wages are too high.
Time to move on and close that sorry chapter.

He’s better than anyone we’ve currently got. I doubt we’d even have to pay a fee, they’d let him walk to get him off the payroll. Get him in the building.

They are getting rid of all contracted players, no one is being kept on.

I think the young goalkeeper you are thinking of is Luke Southwood, on loan to Eastleigh from Reading.
He is a target for quite a few clubs.
''Hull line up summer move for Reading goalkeeper Luke Southwood. Hull have been watching the goalkeeper, who is on loan at Eastleigh
The 21-year-old was part of England's Under-20 World Cup squad.''

Anyone who gets on their high horse about rejecting Adams is an idiot, or Max.
