Billy Fury & Eddie Cochran
For those with an interest in vintage pop I will be hosting a 2 hour show 6pm Friday on Phoenix 98fm or online featuring the music of Eddie Cochran and Billy Fury.
Next month Apr 17 will be the 60th anniversary of Cochrans fatal car crash in Chippenham at the end of his 1st British Tour and the same date would also have seen Furys 80th birthday.
Cochrans repertoire Inc 'Summertime Blues', 'Cmon Everybody', 'Somethin Else', '3 Steps To Heaven' & Fury remains among the top 10 most successful UK artistes of the 60s with 26 hit singles of which 11 were top ten, never made it to no1 but hit #2 with 'Jealousy' #3 with 'Halfway To Paradise' & 'Like I've Never Been Gone'. We will be looking back on their careers, playing the hits, some rarer stuff too.

Music is a conundrum for me.
Unless it is some kind of football chant or
An Irish rebel ditty , i have No interest whatsoever
In Music be it popular or unpopular .
I just read about the club for 27 year olds & assumed they were the icons.
If you say he was an icon i'll accept your knowledge as
truth .
Me Argue ?
I discuss Max .
