Blimey if that's his best we are stuffed next season. Clay was poor but Wright was even worse, CM aside from Cissé were awful.

Dawson, Vincelot, Adams that kind of level of physicality and imposing on the game. Clay misplaces far too many passes to be like a Spring or Thornton type so he's neither here nor there. Not a first-choicr enforcer nor creative CM.JimbO wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 5:23 pmHave to agree with the original post not sure what you expect from a lge 2 footballer he’s hardly gonna be du bruyne
If we want to progress Clay needs to be a fringe player 3rd / 4th choice, no way a starter at this level.

Don`t disagree with that.
But, I thought Clay worked really hard today and won a lot of 50-50. Some of his passing was poor, but it has been much worse earlier in the season.

That kinda sums it up "not good but not as bad as usual". Back to the old Orient ways...

Imagine discussing Clays performance after Wright has just put in a showing like that.

He talks about these things like he's a casual observer, not the manager.
Its YOU Ross, you're the boss now.
When 'we' don't do things well enough, YOU need to have a plan to deal with it.

He didn’t win or retain the ball once in 90 minutes. Not once.
That was as ineffectual a strikers performance as I have ever seen from an orient player. Ever.

But nowhere near as bad as the Macclesfield game . I reckon a draw today was the right result between two evenly matched sides . I thought Sotiriou made a positive impact when he came on and gave us some extra impetus going forward . What pleased me toady was instead of trying to hold out the game at 2-2 , we went looking for the winner . It made a nice change from a couple of recent games where we've conceded late goals .

He's a fox in the box type striker . Is Ross using him or any of our strikers correctly. ?

Agree about Ruel. He has become a vital figure in the team now.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 7:34 pmBut nowhere near as bad as the Macclesfield game . Why? Can’t recall him scoring a hatful of goals thus making him indispensable to the team.
