Buzz - Repetition?
He was impressive continuing on Just A Minute on the wireless whilst most of his contemporaries were either gaga or brown bread, but surely the highlight of his career was the one that went “and now, from Norwich, it's the quiz of the week."

Re: Births Deaths And Marriages
Back in 1992 there was a rave track that had a vocal sample throughout that sounded like it was saying "Nicholas Parsons" over and over. Turns out it wasn't, but was just a mis-heard lyric/sample. Track was called Think I'm Going Out of My Head by Satin Storm.

Highlight of Nicholas Parsons career was his cameo in the Comic Strips, Mr Jolly lives next door.
A comedy classic that rarely comes on TV.

Hold on "just a minute" do you mean that Nicholas Parsons. Without hesitation, deviation or repetition. Kept his mate Arthur Haynes company when he was up to his neck in muck and bullets.
Thanks for all the memories Nicholas you will be greatly missed.

Re: Births Deaths And Marriages
Ace In The Hole & Paths To Glory, alongside Spartacus stand out for me. But the studio system did him few favours and he was in a lot of forgettable dross too. And then there’s the stories of him being an angry, awkward so & so to work with, and ugly rumours of him raping a teenage Natalie Wood...

Re: Births Deaths And Marriages
Poor old Natalie Wood. She had a pathological fear of water and on one film the director had rigged a bridge to collapse into the river as she walked across it without telling her, the fear and panic that ensued wasn't acting. One can only imagine the lawsuit that would follow in this day and age.
The fear of water made it all the stranger she was out with husband Robert Wagner and Christopher Walken on a yacht at night when she somehow ended up drowned after 'disappearing' during the night.

Finally lost that game of chess with Death, eh?
I did learn something about him today, mind. Apparently the surname’s pronounced Von Soo-dov. I’ve been saying it wrong for decades.

Always thought what a terrific assassin Max Von Sydow was, he played the role in more than one movie, enjoyed watching him.
