Re: Dream Team Sponsorship
Great publicity from Dream Team this year, really helped put the club back on the map to the average football fan. Just glad the players lived up to the billing.

To your average Premiership fan they wouldn't have had a clue we were back until last Saturday evening. Read the comments on the DT Facebook posts and you can see that, most were congratulatory though.

I doubt the average premier league fan much cares. Nor do I care if they care.gshaw wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 5:30 pmTo your average Premiership fan they wouldn't have had a clue we were back until last Saturday evening. Re: Dream Team Sponsorship
It helps building a brand. In doing so it helps the club attract more sponsors and even a bigger fan base. For a team to be successful it helps not only to have on field potential but a strong background commercial structure. It’s a message Teague and Travis are pushing quite successfully and is essential for the long term existence of the club.
Pretty obvious really.

That's a local East London football team not a branded commodity.dOh Nut wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2019 2:08 amThe brand is Leyton Orient Football Club.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2019 12:46 amName the BranddOh Nut wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 10:54 pm It helps building a brand. Re: Dream Team Sponsorship
In today’s world the term brand has had its use extended to be a generic term for all sorts of stuff. Leyton Orient is a brand because it can be promoted (good use of that word) in order to develop the club and bring it to a wider audience. Soccer academies in the US for example is promoting the brand.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2019 5:30 pmThat's a local East London football team not a branded commodity.

Re: Dream Team Sponsorship
Yup. And the product being sold are tickets, merchandise and sponsorship. The Brand is being used to sell products. The club too are strong in marketing, loss leaders and inducements. Almost like a football club is really a business. What next, Board meetings, balance sheets, profit and loss and annual accounts.Disoriented wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 7:35 amOrient is a ‘brand’?dOh Nut wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 7:20 amIn today’s world the term brand has had its use extended to be a generic term for all sorts of stuff. The tie in with The S*n is the one downside in a otherwise stunning season.

Re: Dream Team Sponsorship
I dare say they will make profits from merchandise sales and sponsorship deals. Not big enough to eradicate losses elsewhere. Somwithing the club they will experience profits and losses.
But overall, I agree, it’s losses.
