Re: Team selection and tactics
Looking at this stat, maybe we shouldn`t hit long ball to a lone striker?
Most aerial duels won LEAGUE TWO:
265 - James Hanson
242 - Jordan Tunnicliffe
241 - Rory McArdle
229 - Luke Waterfall
224 - Leon Legge (Port Vale)
217 - Fiacre Kelleher
216 - Scott Wharton
210 - Nathan Smith (PortVale)
201 - Ben Richards-Everton

Re: Team selection and tactics
Lingleton are working on it and have assured the league that they will have the paperwork submitted to them by the 31st May. In the meantime they asked that he be allowed to play today.

Re: Team selection and tactics
More rather mindless Ling bashing?
Any delay in International Clearance comes from the country he was in. Player can't be registered until overseas FA have sent the clearance.
Nothing Orient can do to make foreign FA speed up the process

No one agrees with your views, you are too outdated and old fashioned, move along we are moving upwards with this structure, get on the bus and enjoy the ride

Re: Team selection and tactics
I hope the club have done their homework on this . Playing a lone striker today would be a bigger waste of time than usualBergen wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 7:55 am Looking at this stat, maybe we shouldn`t hit long ball to a lone striker?

Re: Team selection and tactics
IIRC Port Vale home was the beginning of the 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation.
Ross went 5 at the back at the start and we were 2-1 down at half time and it could have been more. Changed it up at half-time and we got a draw.
Cisse gives us a few more options. he looks like he can bring the ball from deep at speed, which nobody else in the midfield can do, which hopefully can link the play more. Hopefully Clay will be dropped and he gets on from the start.
Seems strange but we are in 20th place (21st if Macclesfield win their game in hand), but a win could be massive today and really do the world of good for Ross, despite the poor run of results he has had.
It's a winnable game I feel despite the points difference.

Re: Team selection and tactics
Yes we can again and again 1 forward upfront and 1 on the wing, i think its great why dont we try 4132 so we give a chance to play more than i forward upfront

Re: Team selection and tactics
Ross the boss
Do you give a toss
After we suffer another loss
One up front
Defence takes the brunt
The fans get the hump
We are poor
That's for sure
Will ling give you a.player who can score?
Back to training
Even if it's raining
Bibs balls and cones
You've got to set the tone
Pass and move
Pass and move
Crossing in the box
All we need is that fox
So the fans can start to rock
