Dennis is another player who has not been used right by Ross the boss. I would be upset like he probably is if I were him.
Ruel like I said at the time of his recall on here should have been left at Dover to continue his education. I like him, but his long term development would have better suited to him staying at Dover.
Dennis has barely played in what looks like his preferred position cutting in from the left. Would be harsh if he goes and seems unlikely we'd get another winger in to replace him.
Just as well Sotiriou did come back to score those goals, bear in mind our only other striking option at that time was Alabi so...
can i develop my career with a manager who has never played football professionally , with a non descript coaching set up, and who plays players everywhere but not in their trained position and who has no proven tactical ability
perhaps 19 year olds or players who are recovering from a 2 year injury
forget the dawsons vincelots baudray lisbie mooney etc to much of a threat to ling and the hierarchy

Thought the right back comment was odd, given that Judd is fit, Ling is back soon and Marsh, Ekpiteta or even Clay could fill in there.
Alabi should have gone last week, no good to have him moping around. Pay him up and get rid.
Can't see too many others going.
Alabi should have left the building by the middle of the week. On his way on loan to Eastleigh evidently!

Embleton finally seen the light and moving him on, that's the CM and ST positions freed up now. Need real quality coming in who can push for starting spots and become the foundation for next season.

Could be that a move for Judd is already underway.... who knows. Get to next season, Samling first choice with a totally new youngster as backup, no competition.
Actually wouldn't be surprised if Louis Dennis left as well, maybe on loan. Doesn't seem in favour here. Bromley must have some dosh after selling a player for a record fee, there won't be a better shot at promotion for them than this with the League so tight. Dennis surely would be quality for them and from his point of view no difference to playing top of National League than bottom of League Two.
Sam Ling needs to go with his old man! I don’t know how anyone could pick him over Judd!
Seems like the local rag did a big interview with Ross over the weekend and it's being drip-fed out over the week.
Said that 4-5 signings would be good this window, and I assume 2 of them already are done (Vigs/Marsh).
Also that other people would have to leave first before others came in. So the Alabi deal could be holding up the striker arrival, the other guy seems to be a full-back who can cover both sides. Central midfield might be last on the list, despite Gorman leaving.

Quite frankly those new players should be coming in regardless . It shouldn't depend on if whether we can ship other players out first . It's called having ambition . Anyway ,unwanted players like Alabi will be leaving shortly and so will be off the wage bill .

Decisions on who goes and who arrives are dictated by the Leagues 55% of turnover salary cap. We are properly run these days and some of the things Hearn did to artificially increase our turnover won't be happening.

How are we still losing £1m - £2m per year if we're within that cap?

Who said we are losing £1-2m p.a.? I think that based on normal trading that the club budgets to make a loss (probably £100-200k). They then try to factor in cup runs and youth sales before taking hits like additional loan covers for injuries. Clubs far higher up the pyramid than us sell before they buy.

The salary cap relates to players wages. It doesn't include other staff

My point remains. If we're only spending 55%, max, of our income on playing staff, where the hell is the rest of it going?
Isn't that assuming we're taking the rules by their strict definition?
Can't imagine Salford being within 55% of their turnover, but I'd imagine there would be ways around it.
With the losses incurred so far the only reasonable explanation to me is that we are paying too many people, too much money (relative to the days under Hearn).
There was a massive overspend in the first season for a few reasons: maybe legacy costs, keeping the academy open, changing manager and signing more players than intended, a large amount of old, expensive players.
The latter two reasons also contributed to the loss in the second season, as several senior players (Boco, Mooney, Elokobi) had to be settled up and others stayed on the wage bill.
This season should be profitable IMO with Bonne/Koroma fees taken into account. If we are not, that would be pretty worrying. We won't find that out for a while though.

Even with the Bonne/Koroma fees I doubt we will be profitable. Probably a loss of about £1m.

Transfer income received during the period is also counted as turnover.

Don't believe everything you hear, read or see with LOFC.

All the other staff, stewarding, policing costs, rates, rent, gas and electricity, grounds keeping, maintenance and repairs, kit, equipment maintenance, IT equipment, IT services, Professional fees (lawyers, accountants etc) to name but a few other expenses
