Back to the Future?

Post by spen666 »

This story on the BBC

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-norfolk-50713521

Trains delayed because of software problems

Crossrail delayed also because of software problems

FGW had similar problems with their new trains a while ago.

Northern Trains I believe are having similar problems.

LNER had previously software problems with new trains or signals

Seems the rush to use latest technology is perhaps causing it own problems

You are right, apart from the fact it has nothing to do with Government, but is 2 private companies, the supplier Bombardier and the customer GreaterAnglia

Please do not let the facts get in the way of your trying to blame the Government

Good question. Genuinely don't know answer, but as software problems affecting so many private train companies as well, suggests it's not a government cock up, but a wider issue re using software
