If we didn’t have the emotional ties with him regarding the injury comeback he’d have been offloaded by now.
Nah. He’s been rightfully retained as a squad player, someone that can be relied upon to do a job (last 2 performances excluded….)

CW has also provided a good few chances, the last of which was an excellent one missed by Mitchell. Thats why he is picked
Do you mean the ball he looped into Kabia, overhit it, but Demi did really well to anticipate and get ahead of the right back and get a shot away?

Mate, come on now.
Nope. The one where Mitchell missed the ball entirely. CW is better than the CW-haters want to accept

No one hates WJ1. (Well, not that I'm aware of).

It's just lots of people - including Reading and every other L1 club who didn't take him after Reading released him - don't think he's good enough to be playing L1 football. That's all mate.

And sorry, I don't recall the one chance you're claiming he's made - you'll have to post a clip to remind me of it.

Nobody hates CW, just that many think it would be better for everyone if he wasn’t here, that’s all.
When everyone is fit you struggle to see him make the 18, let alone the starting 11. The guy is coming up to 24, he needs to be playing week in week out and , imv, he’s an unnecessary distraction. He’s not without his merits, but it’s not enough for this squad. Again imv.

Personally, if I was a football manager, I’d have to be convinced my son is head and shoulders above every other player to be able to justify playing them out of fear of being accused of nepotism. It upsets dressing room dynamics for those left out as it’s an easy accusation to throw at a manager. The reward has to overwhelmingly outweigh the risk of playing them.
Is WJ1 head and shoulders above the rest of the team? Absolutely not. Is he any better than Max Sanders, Michael Craig, Rob Hunt, or any other 6/10 player that’s been bombed out? Probably not.

You make a fair point . As gshaw said, this is why it's best not to sign your family members . Charlie has to get around an 8 rating every game or he'll get the blame for every defeat . If Charlie plays next weekend against Plymouth and we lose I guarantee you he'll get the blame . Although I think he can play , I think he's OK . I've seen players a lot worse than him pull on an Orient shirt . In all honesty though , for the sake of his own career I think he would be better off somewhere else where he isn't under as much pressure .
