Ratings v Stevenage (h)

[Greenwich Orient]

Very poor first half - was convinced we’d lose. One quality passage of play leading to the goal and a clean sheet to give us our first home win since March.

Baxter 7 - great double save at the end

Stevens 8 - along with Forrester thought he was our best player today. Put in an absolute shift at the back and tidy on the ball
Forrester 8 MOM - barely put a step wrong. Handled their forwards really well and very physical
Olowu 6.5 - put his body on the line a couple of times but very ropey passing and wasteful in possession
Chinedu 6 - extra mark for the clean sheet and for the fact he’s still young and raw, but boy did he make me nervous in possession. Poor decision making for most of the game - has a lot to learn before he’s ready for regular football at this level.

Hayden 5 - not sure what he does.
El Miz 6.5 - plus half a mark for the assist but think he looks way off his best form at the moment
Gilbert 7.5 - brilliant finish for the goal. First half passed him by a bit and struggled to put his stamp on the game. By contrast Kemp was everywhere in the first half. Much improved second half from Gilbert typified by the goal, and he showed some very nice touches. He’s clearly a very good technician.

Akhamrich 7.5 - so dangerous, clearly a very good player at this level. Ran into trouble at times but his flick leading to the goal was exquisite. Also did his defensive duties well.
Springett 6 - didn’t do much but worked hard defensively
Kabia 6 - worked hard and had very little service
