He was staying in the travel lodge, came into the bar there after the game. Very classy to stay there whilst the supporters club lot were in a 5* spa hotel in Cheshire

Re: Well done Nigel Travis
Kent is genuinely a lovely bloke. After the final whistle he was trying to get from the stand onto the pitch but the stewards wouldn’t let him, presumably as they didn’t realise who he is.
He was patient with them (despite the chaos going on around him) and waited for a senior security person to come over who eventually gave him the ok and let him through.
Later on I saw him shaking hands with Stockport security staff. A real class act.
Actually, I have to say that Stockport handled the whole night yesterday very well. No over the top security. Allowed the fans to celebrate without being heavy handed but also managed to keep order. Fans could celebrate with the players but it was all kept safe and dignified. They deserve big credit as a club for that.

Re: Well done Nigel Travis
Why couldn’t he have just stayed in the crowd with us?
I noticed several skirmishes going on with the stewards all game. They also insisted on standing up and blocking the view of the front few rows.

Really? They were fine towards the left hand side of the away bit. Maybe a different story down in the corner?Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 10:07 pm

Obviously wasn’t involved and wasn’t paying attention but yeah, was down the front and towards the away fans behind the goal.

I have sympathy with Stockport, and IF they had won and played Charlton I would rather they got promoted than Charlton. The Reverend wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 9:17 pm Kent is genuinely a lovely bloke. Nathan Jones and his antics tonight make him a more controversial figure than Fatty Evans.
Jones looks to be a horrible Little Man.

Re: Well done Nigel Travis
Some stewards were standing up slightly blocking the view in the 2nd half. To be fair they sat down. Stewards were okay tbf. GM Riot Police at the end was a bit OTT imoHoover Attack wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 10:07 pm Why couldn’t he have just stayed in the crowd with us?
