Just rein it in a bit, ditch the away and cup games and the radio show. Do you have a lot else going on in your life?

Re: Orient Fatigue?
Well, if no one else is going to say it, I will - pull yourself together, man! Snap out of it! What if we all stopped going because we were a bit fed up with the Orient? There’d be no one there. These players aren’t going to boo themselves!
But seriously, I don’t think this is an Orient thing, or even a football thing, it’s just a life thing. You spend a lot of time, money and effort on any activity there may come a time when you question whether it’s worth it anymore.
Now you’ve said it out loud, as it were, it probably won’t be long before you know what to do. And I hope it will going to the O’s, either now or in the future, but that’s up to you.
And can I just add, for someone who’s got Orient fatigue, you still post on the message board an awful lot!

Its each to their own, but it always seems to me that you want things done your way and to your blueprint, which personally I think you have to accept is never going to happen for you here, or at any club for that matter unless you ever become the owner. It doesn't matter whoever the owner is, you'll never ever agree with everything they do or those they employ.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 8:37 am Realise I'll probably get abused for this but has anyone taken some time away from the O's in order to refresh their passion and interest?
I had a season ticket between the ages of 7 and 13, became a teenager and hanging out with my mates at the cinema became preferable to sitting in the cold watching us lose in Division 3.
I've been going to 35+ games a season again for over ten years and I feel exhausted. Even last season, whilst I enjoyed it, I didnt have that passion that i had a few years ago. Some of my mates dont go any more and most games I find myself just sitting there, not really enjoying any of it. I think it's probably due to the fact that we were so close of achieving my dream of seeing us in the championship, to falling out of the league and playing sh*t week in, week out.
As most know, I've also have worries and differences in thinking to how the club should be run, and some mis-management that frustrates me. But really, I think i've got Orient fatigue. I've got a ST and tickets for a few of the away games coming up, but as of right now, I dont want to really go.
Anyone else ever had anything similar and did a break help?
You also come across as someone who doesn't enjoy supporting a team that loses most weeks and who can't produce consistent quality performances and leaves you wondering a bit why you would support a team that can't do that little bit better.
Who knows, maybe supporting a better team that fits your values and blueprint better will leave you a bit happier.
Just my observation, I could be completely wrong. It is each to their own at the end of the day.

Re: Orient Fatigue?
I've been feeling some fatigue with all football over the past 3/4 years. Initially thought it might have been Orient being sh*t but then I'd sat through the previous 15 years without feeling the same way. Going to Orient games recently has very much been about catching up with friends first, watching football second. Though I'm coming back to enjoying playing football so maybe the enthusiasm for watching will swing back round again.

Bar a couple of year period in the early 90's where I did a few homes / away's a season and didn't bother with a season ticket, I've been going pretty full on doing 30+ games a season since the late 80s.
Orient on a saturday is a family thing now with Mrs FTC and Junior FTC and last season saw us do 40 games which was brilliant given the title win yet for some reason this season feels like a complete trial. Missed Cheltenham due to holiday but even since I've been back, I'm finding it hard to be really interested. Sat through Saturday's game with complete detachment and still havent bothered getting tickets for Col U away even though it's an easy away trip.

Re: Orient Fatigue?
The losses certainly annoy me more than they used to, but in general, not true. I’ve stayed til the end of the Bromley and mk dons 6-1s, went to Crewe and Swindon when we got relegated. The Big Shot wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 7:45 pmIts each to their own, but it always seems to me that you want things done your way and to your blueprint, which personally I think you have to accept is never going to happen for you here, or at any club for that matter unless you ever become the owner. Re: Orient Fatigue?
I'm gonna take a little break from the O's. Never thought I would want to but with this place, a fair bit of twitter abuse, some clear and avoidable mis-management at the club, and just the simple fact of not really enjoying it that much anymore. Appreciate some good comments on this thread, and advice.
This week alone you've had Lingy calling out 'bad supporters' on twitter, in the same week we lose our main striker to injury and have no depth to replace him. We've had more midfield combinations this season than Brill saves. We have a manager who will never be our long term manager, yet we wait and put this fanbase through more pain and the people at the top are more interested in getting a few extra quid from disabled people than making gamedays an enjoyable experience.
I had a ticket for yesterdays game, and it's not far, and yet I was overjoyed i didnt waste my day by pulling out last minute. I'm gonna take at least 2-3 away from it all to hopefully refresh myself and get back the passion. Hopefully we'll have an actual manager by the then and few (more) people on here will realise that me and others who have been abused for having an opinion, were right all along.

Sad to hear. The club needs honest, perceptive supporters, so hopefully you reconsider.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 11:14 am I'm gonna take a little break from the O's. Re: Orient Fatigue?
Fortunately in Lanzarote otherwise would have been in Colchester. Lucky escape. Gotta say I’m reaching one of my, “can’t be bothered to go” moments again. I’ve had a few.
But I’ll plough on otherwise it’s a waste of a ST and the earache I’ll get from Mrs dOh who bought it for my birthday is likely to be more painful than watching the game. Mind you it will be a close run thing.

Alot of the times - particularly on your twitter account, you come across as a wind up merchant and as someone who enjoys getting bites off of fellow supporters when the clubs is struggling a bit - I can imagine you sitting on the other side of your account thinking: "got a few bites with this one, good work from me", when really we should be sticking together as a fanbase.
You also come across as someone is a bit spoiled and whom is very used to getting his own way in life and when your football club can't give that to you, you do tend to throw your toys out of the pram a bit - You have to accept you will NEVER have your own way in football, nobody does.
I don't know if you deliberately try and wind up your fellow fans and enjoy sticking the boot into the club when results don't go our way, but thats how it comes across - I'm probably completely wrong, but that is my observation.
Finally - We lost our manager in the summer in tragic circumstances - its only just passed the 3 month mark of the tragic day, we all need to stick together and show as much patience as we can because the feeling is still very raw. For what its worth I agree with you - We need an experienced coach to come in and guide us along, but in the circumstances we need to show the club as much patience as we can.

Re: Orient Fatigue?
I appreciate its your opinion, but you're massively wide of the mark. I reckon maybe 1% of posts on here and twitter are designed to wind people up. The problem is, theres so many people up the clubs arse and afraid to be realistic because it comes across as negative think that anything that is a bit too close too home, is a wind up. Look on this board over the last year and I've been spot on with more things than i've got wrong. People are finally coming around to my view of Ross, it took people a similar time to agree with me on Alabi, on our midfield, i could go on.
You couldn't be more far off from me being 'spoilt' and getting my own way. In fact its the opposite, but this is one of the reasons im giving the board and twitter a rest. Maybe my ego gets the better of me (as per above) but you dont know me, so to presume i'm used to getting my own way and thats why i'm pissed off, is ridiculous. Similarly, the constant i'm a better fan than you on twitter and here is tiresome. I love this club as much as anyone on here, I just dont agree with a lot of the decisions that the club makes, thats not a bad fan, thats someone who after suffering through FBs era, is holding every owner of this club to account.
But anyways, this is my last post for a bit. Hope our form picks up before i'm back.

Re: Orient Fatigue?
Zero fatigue from me, just gutted that we lost the best manager here since Bloomfield. Just as things started to look up, we got hit by a truck. Time is hard right now, RE is finding it tough on plenty of levels in all probability, but credit to him in stepping up, in how he handles himself and for the effort he is putting in. He might be out of his depth, but he’s trying and you can’t knock that.
On to the next game and hopefully 3 points.

Trying is not good enough as we plummet to within 5 points of a relegation place, would you be happy for him to keep trying and for us to get relegated, I don’t think so.Thor wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 12:43 pm Zero fatigue from me, just gutted that we lost the best manager here since Bloomfield. So it’s a judgment call as to when he steps down voluntarily or directed to move.
As I have said before, the whole process of advertising the Managers job to appointing a new Manager will take many weeks if not months to get the right proven, experienced Manager at this level.
This inevitable process delay could see the club points adrift in bottom place even if the job was advertised today, the longer the decision is taken to advertise the Managers job, the further we could be adrift and the harder it will be for any Manager to get us out of possibility of being relegated back to the National League.

Re: Orient Fatigue?
My post in the rating thread is pretty clear on RE, he needs to go, but I can’t slag him off for stepping up under difficult circumstances, he’s trying, but he is not a manager and we need someone now who is can can command the respect of the dressing room. The longer this goes on the more RE will be damaged and I would not like to see that.
