Cooper ..

Post by Hedmans Header »

Thought he was brilliant today before going
off with a knock, does a lot of the dirty work
today getting in a couple of vital blocks early
on and generally ruffled the Huddersfield
strikers ..
And he’s done this constantly since forcing his
way back into the side, richly deserves to
back in the side ..

Yep, totally agree,
While he’s far from the greatest footballer to ever to wear an O’s shirt, Brandon is an excellent ‘No nonsense ‘defender who always gives 101% effort and was outstanding today 👏

He was kicked, elbowed, barged, pushed and fouled all match IMO and kept doing the job in spite of such assaults.
I like the guy as a player

A back three suits him as he does have lapses of concentration and a rickett

Yes, of course Happe offers more and I would put him down as one of the first on the team sheet but his injury record let’s him down unfortunately.

Happe can’t do the rough stuff.

Cooper can’t be classy.

Cooper annoyed me a lot when he left the field with cramp when we were still 1-0 up at Bolton - after which we lost 2-1
But since then and particularly the last 2-3 games he has been tremendous. That block today when it was still only 1-0 was great defending.
He’s been an integral part of our current winning streak

Top class analysis there.

There is no doubt in my mind that we would have beaten Bolton if Cooper had not gone off. But in his defence he was kicked by a Bolton player off the ball at the end of the first half (right in front of us) and that caused the cramping problem. Up to that point he and REG had been fantastic.

He is under rated IMHO.

You can tell he’s a rugby player too

And it’s about time he had a chant. Bran-don Coop-er to the “tune” of Dodgy Keeper every time he cleans someone out will do very nicely.

Just a punters view. Most people would agree that Copper coming off changed the game at Bolton.
Feel free to throw a tantrum because you’ve been called out for targeting squad players whilst the team is strives for promotion.

I like it, but it's a bit too complex for some of our mob. They'll just be doing the Donley and Kelman songs ad nauseam.
I'd have a Galbraith song first off the rank every time.

A tantrum? You mean like having a meltdown on an otherwise light hearted thread.

Only playing because Currie has been injured and Wellens (rightly) doesn’t trust Sweeney to perform at this level. As someone who has long despised Cooper and his grotesque inability to head the ball, I will grudgingly admit that Cooper has been playing above himself in the past few weeks.
