Good morning!

Post by Urbane Vancelo »

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in Leyton now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon possible play-off day.

Very good.

Yesterday, parts of Kipling’s “If” sprang to mind >>>

……
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
…..
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
…..
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

(Parts of which are at the entrance to the tennis courts at Wimbledon.)

But victory will be ours. C’mon you Os!!

Win lose or draw and whatever the outcome, I will be up on my feet and celebrating the incredible achievement RW & the players have given us fans this season.

I know some people are very nervous about today, but for some strange reason this is the most confident I’ve been all season that we will get a win. That’s why I don’t feel nervous about today, however if we do win and get to the playoffs that’s when my nerves will start.

I've been doing some gardening to take my mind off of things.

Snap. Been transferring the tomatoes and courgettes to bigger pots and built protective cages for the strawberries and blueberries so the thieving Magpies can't get them.

I'm very calm.
