This is the most resilient Orient team that l've seen for years.

Charlton have Wrexham so not done and dusted.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 5:40 pmYeah, I know what you mean but football doesn't work like that . It can all boil down to what happens on the day .Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 5:09 pm No chickens being counted but beating Wycombe would increase the chances of ending up with Charlton in the play offs, who I think would hand our arses to us.
Just focus on getting there. Don’t fancy us against any of the top 6 on paper but the playoffs are strange things

Never thought that first goal would come. Thought to myself at c.60 mins we could play all night and not break down the 10 men they resolutely put behind the ball.
All the squad have played their part but what would the season have looked like without Charlie’s goals. Incredible.

Just got back (again, from a dinner party). What a fantastic result.
We will now finish above Huddersfield and Bolton. An unbelievable achievement.
WELL DONE ORIENT!!!!!

Might be a minority view but I wouldn't want to finish ahead of Reading due to a points deduction. The reason they are in such a financial mess is because of an abysmal owner who might drive them out of business, not a calculated effort to game the system. The fact they are 7th and in with a shout of a play off place despite everything that's happening off the field is an incredible achievement.

There was no sympathy for our plight when facing NL so quite happy to take advantage at their expense. EFL will be sweating wondering whether to make an example of Reading knowing it would benefit OrientMistadobalina wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 7:35 pm Might be a minority view but I wouldn't want to finish ahead of Reading due to a points deduction. There was plenty from fans of other clubs at the time and in the press. What we went through with Bechetti should increase our sympathy for other clubs facing something similar and hope that it's better handled than our situation was.
And the idea that there is an anti-Orient conspiracy from the EFL is obviously absurd.

Didn't see anyone volunteering to take our relegation place out of sympathy. It's a ruthless sport and I'd be happy to take that playoff spot by whatever means.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 8:12 pm There was plenty from fans of other clubs at the time and in the press. Don't think we ever had a points deduction so don't see how it's relevant. Id much rather Reading get saved and avoid a points deduction than see them go out of business and us sneak a play off place we didn't earn on the pitch.

They’ve already pushed it so far. The date has been pushed back until tomorrow. Sell up, no more third, fourth chances imo. They’ve been threatened with suspension, can’t see how that can be ignored and for this continue into the playoffs.
