Re: The Masters
Unbelievable, Rory has been brilliant and shocking in equal measure. A great round by Rose and a great comeback. who knows what the play off will bring.

Rooting for Rose because he played a great round. Rory hit a worldie 2nd on the playoff hole but was equally amazing (eg 15th) and awful (eg 13th). I always find it hard to warm to McIlroy but hats off to him for achieving the grand slam.

Same. Not a huge fan. Bryson said after that Rory didn’t say a word to him all day. Sums him up for me.faldO wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 12:30 am Rooting for Rose because he played a great round. Re: The Masters
I’ve had the good fortune to meet Rory an a few occasions (spent a good couple of hours with him admittedly some years ago), could not have been nicer every single time. Bryson’s comment should be taken with a pinch of salt, last round leading trying to complete the grand slam personally I wouldn’t want anyone whispering some nonsense in my ear he probably had enough comments from the crowd (patrons). Hogan barely said good shot to a great shot Trevino wouldn’t stop talking regardless of the situation, we all deal differently with pressure.
Glad he got it done, now the shackles might be off and more majors will be collected.

Re: The Masters
The crowds are usually well-behaved and appreciative, with the exception of the Ryder Cup.

Re: The Masters
Which is patently bollox because Rory went up to him on the 1st tee shook his hand and said 'let’s have a good day, play well' - on camera. McIlroy has more class in his little finger than Bryson - who, admittedly, does seem to have worked out that he needs the galleries onside and has been working on his interactions with them these last few years.Beradogs wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 10:11 amSame. Bryson's a huge MAGA fan, which kind of sums him up. Waiting for his legion of red cap wearers to storm Augusta and claim he actually didn't lose by 4 strokes

Re: The Masters
I've just read that the winners cheque is 4.2 million dollars. I wonder if he'll invest any in an Irish footy club?

He'll start as the favourite for SPOTY in December unless Emma R wins a tennis major.
