Any decent characters this season? Watched the last few but not bothered this time around.

Fun fact: MAFS Australia went some way to rescuing my relationship.

Mrs PJ was in Aus with the in-laws for a month during mat leave and it wasn't exactly like things were on the rocks, but there'd been a bit of tension and that, mainly around me being a bit useless (fair). So basically, watching MAFS while she was away and I saw that these people (mainly the blokes, but some of the women as well) were all absolute morons who had no idea how to form or maintain functional relationships and, while appreciating these were all picked to make good telly, there was no way I was going to head down that path. Pathetic as it sounds, also genuinely took on board some of the stuff the experts said about taking on more responsibility and being proactive and thought "hmm, could be doing a bit better here, PJ".

When she got back after about a week she mentioned she'd noticed a massive difference and I had to just say "please don't kill me cos I know you've tried having these conversations before and it's ridiculous, but it's down to MAFS". Fortunately she found it pretty hilarious and, Dear Reader, three years on we're still doing alright.

Sounds like she should be grateful that you weren't watching something like Don Draper in Mad Men instead.

White Lotus , not as good as first 2 series, but really enjoyed it. Monday night's were White Lotus night in my house.
Cracked open the wine, bit of meditation, blended a smoothie and invited my younger brother round.

I enjoyed it. That family, disappointing outcome.

I also enjoyed WL3, but agree it continues the downward trend un quality from the first season. Saxons, played by Patrick Schwarzenegger (yes), was developing into a great character but then they just did nothing with him in the final episode.

Aimee Lou Wood and Parker Posey were both great in their own ways, too.

Also enjoyed White Lotus s3 a lot, although not as much as s1 and s2 - which are equally good.

Sam Rockwell's monologue mid-season was extraordinary.

Blitz- a boy is seperated from his mum when he's sent away from London during the Blitz. Solid production values and good actors, but the film is spoilt really by a focus on racism, which feels out of place. Also, there are scenes of people sheltering in 'Stepney Green' tube station which is depicted as a deep level station when of course in real life its sub surface.

I thought the Danny Dyer bit was a highlight. Bob Mortimer is one of the few people alive who genuinely deserves the title 'National Treasure'.

Seconded. Definitely a recommended watch.
Thirded. Would never have checked this out if not for the recommendations on here but very glad this was flagged up. A wonderful film and, as CD said, riveting.

The Studio is great, if not painful viewing.
Watched season one of Big Boys - put it off cos it looked crap in the trailers but loads of people recommended it and it’s genuinely very good. Looking forward to watching the rest

Yeah, I assume so? Something about being able to partition the memory into multiple pieces, so that traumas can be split off and forgotten?

Finished Big Boys. Genuinely moving and different tv. Really enjoyed it.

Gut wrenching No Other Land (which is on channel 4 catch up for a few weeks). Everyone should watch it. Terrifying and sad
