El Miz
The fact that Oxford lost to QPR last night and a re close to being relegated what are the chances of El Miz being let go. He has been a substitute in the last few games without coming on In last nights game they used all 5 subs with El Miz not selected. I t seems their manager sees him as only a squad player. If Gailbraith is going it seems El Miz must be in contention to return.

Re: El Miz
Ethan looks like he will 100% go, and the club will cash in and spend the cash on rebuilding the squad, it def needs it once all the loan players go back to parent clubs at end of season.
El Miz return would be a great signing, maybe we can agree a double deal with Oxford, to also include Jack Currie.
Over to you Lingy, make it happen

3 years I believe.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 10:29 am Its his first season there, how long a contract did he sign?
El Miz future might depend on if Oxford U stay in Championship
If they do, then El Miz opps looked very limited and they may wish to offload.
Same with Currie, despite some on here lauding him as O’s best ever LB, I don’t see him as Championship quality. I like him, he’s good and love to have him next season, despite the tail off in his performances recently, but can say that about almost the entire squad, Kelman being a notable exception.

Re: El Miz
Daniels weren’t too shabby either
Going back in time Dennis Rofe, operating in league above current one.
Currie looks promising, but no more compared to Matty, Charlie and Dennis.

For me Dennis Rofe was the best ever left back to play for Leyton Orient. He played in Division One for many seasons and he followed Manager Jimmy Bloomfield to Leicester City, signing for £112,000 in August 1972, which made him the most expensive full-back in British football at that time.

Or potentially season long loan if we took the bulk of his wages?Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 3:05 pm Hope Oxford stay up as it gives us a better chance. I reckon £200k gets el miz. Wages might be a problem

Re: El Miz
Yes Bill was a very good replacement for Dennis Rofe. He was one of the many shrewd player additions to Leyton Orient by Manager George Petchey from his former club Crystal Palace,Omygawd wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 6:06 pmI’m not having Wild Bill Roffey left out of this!Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 2:02 pmFor me Dennis Rofe was the best ever left back to play for Leyton Orient.
