Re: The Race for 6th
Obviously Stevenage will stiff us like usual, but IF we won, does put a bit of pressure on the others playing later.

Re: The Race for 6th
Funny enough I just watched Fever Pitch tonight. It is quite a good watch. There is always a hope. Remember the season we beat Oxford. It was totally unexpected. They are always the finest moments.

The 5 points to make up, will take some doing. We have been in this situation a few times in the past and have fallen short. Probably need to win the next 4 to get into a good position for the last 5 games.

Look at the fixtures above, it could be looking totally different after our next set of games

Re: The Race for 6th
I think to stand any realistic chance, we need at least 10 points from the next four games. It is Reading, Bolton & Huddersfield whom we need to outstrip. Still can't see us doing it. We were very fortunate yesterday but then again we took enough chances to get the win.
No doubt a few twists & turns yet. Funnily enough, I can see Huddersfield getting a result at Charlton -the latter won't go the rest of this season unbeaten.
Stevenage at home will be tough.

I will be mightily peeved if Charlton get promotion after they got those 2 sucker punches in on 1st March.

Re: The Race for 6th
It’s all hotting up for 6th place.our game against Stevenage is a must win game. Glad to see Blackpool winning at Northampton it will still keep them with an outside chance for 6 th spot and they play Bolton at home next week. Charlton losing 3-0 today means they need to beat Huddersfield next week.If we beat Stevenage with Bolton and Huddersfield losing we are back in the mix

I’ve said before … yon clash at Huddersfield has all the appearance of a serious game … for both of us.

Re: The Race for 6th
Burton just had a penalty appeal turned down that was the same that given against us at Bolton.
