Re: Russia / Ukraine Watch
The Russians said yesterday that if the UK sends any troops to Ukraine they will , and I quote , " Use their dead bodies as fertilisers for the Ukrainian soil ". Any ceasefire or negotiations would soon break down if Starmer put's UK boots on the ground . I mean , who could've seen that coming .

Re: Russia / Ukraine Watch
I wonder why the Russians feel so emboldened ?
Perhaps the Traitor-in-Chief has given them a free pass. (there's no "perhaps" about it, of course).

Empty threats. Blusterful Russians havent been able to defeat the Ukrainians. We just need to stand united and show some strength. Stop bottling it.

Re: Russia / Ukraine Watch
I believe it is important for Europe to show determination and resolve prior to negotiations commencing and sending a clear message to Putin that Europe is not backing down from its support for Ukraine. For once Starmer is getting something right. Hopefully our new military alliance can lead to some sort of new economic partnership.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 10:43 am The Russians said yesterday that if the UK sends any troops to Ukraine they will , and I quote , " Use their dead bodies as fertilisers for the Ukrainian soil ". Contrast this with your hero Trumps approach where withdrawal of military and intelligence support are followed by Putin and the US carving up Ukraine BEFORE negotiations even begin.

What do you think should happen? You seem to have a view on this situation so why not enlighten us?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 10:43 am The Russians said yesterday that if the UK sends any troops to Ukraine they will , and I quote , " Use their dead bodies as fertilisers for the Ukrainian soil ". "Russia has carried out massive strikes across Ukraine, using drones and ballistic missiles, a day after the US stopped sharing intelligence with Kyiv that had previously given advance warnings of attacks."
All thanks to agent Krasnov. It couldn't be more blatant.

Go with Trumps idea simply because it’s the only one I’ve heard. I know one thing for sure, putting UK troops in Ukraine will only make things worse . If UK troops get killed, what is Starmer’s plan B ?BoniO wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 11:34 amWhat do you think should happen? Re: Russia / Ukraine Watch
So you're fine with appeasing Putin, the Russian dictator who invaded Ukraine? Putin the guy who gets the opposition to conveniently keep falling out of windows? You're happy that Trump supports Putin rather than Zelensky?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:28 pmGo with Trumps idea simply because it’s the only one I’ve heard. I guess you're also happy that Trump is demanding money (or minerals) with menace (removing US aid to Ukraine) - you're happy that Trump is behaving like a mobster?
You're happy that Trump has given the crown jewels away in any negotiation by telling Putin up front that he won't aid any NATO Country should Russia invade it? You're happy that Trumps action has made a major conflict in Europe much more likely?
If you really are happy with all that then, frankly, you can FRO.

Re: Russia / Ukraine Watch
I agree Putin is a Cnut but we are where we are. How do we get peace ? Russia will never retreat no matter what the cost is in lost lives . Putting America mining interests in Ukraine is better than putting NATO troops on the ground . I’m sure I heard Rachel Reeves call our last contribution a loan. Also isn’t the EU’s money not a loan ? How will they get that money back ?

Re: Russia / Ukraine Watch
Thanks for avoiding every question about your view of Trump. Of course Putin is a Cnut but Trump is even worse because he’s sold out the West, Europe in particular. If you can’t see this then there is no point in discussing this further.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 2:00 pm I agree Putin is a Cnut but we are where we are. How do we get peace ? The mad b*stard could really mess with the Russians by doing something left field like sharing arms or intelligence with Ukraine.

It was at breakfast in a Guest House in Great Yarmouth that I learned Elvis Pelvis had died. A sad day.

Maybe peace in Ukraine isn’t possible . I’ve heard what you’ve all said about Trump but if his plan fails Ukraine and Russia will need to fight this out to the finish . Of course, the danger is Russia ends up with the whole of Ukraine.

What happens after that? Trump won't have his minerals.

The captain of the cargo ship that crashed into a tanker carrying oil for the US military is a Russian national, the ship’s owner said. The 59-year-old was arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter on Tuesday after Monday’s fiery collision about 12 miles off the East Yorkshire coast, which left one man presumed dead.
In a statement, Hamburg-based owner Ernst Russ said the captain of the Portuguese-flagged ship was Russian, adding that the rest of the crew was a mix of Russian and Filipino nationals.
