Have just been listening to last year's Rat Saw God by Wednesday, which is absolutely excellent. Came across them after an algorithm bump from yesterday's find The Night Marchers, who I'm also delighted to have discovered.

Just been to Hammersmith Apollo to listen to the legendary Paul Heaton. Brilliant. Latest album, The Mighty Several is well worth a listen. And his new co-vocalist, Rianne Downey, is a more than worthy replacement for Jacqui Abbot

Podcast called Transmissions: The definitive story of Joy Divison and New Order.

Maxine peake narrating and interviews with all the key players who are still alive.

Not a massive fan of either band but found it really interesting

Released 34 years ago today. Way before my time, obviously, so thought I'd check it out to see what the early 90s indie kids were moshing to. The production quality has held up remarkably well, but it soon starts to sounds all too samey. Happy is the standout track for me.
