Kevin Nolan

Post by Bergen »

It is easy to forget, but the Cobblers manager used to be our (player) manager back in the day. I think we lost 0-4 to Northampton Town in one of his first games in charge. He is looking forward to returning to 'fantastic club' Leyton Orient tomorrow.

Saw him play in a midweek game at Carlisle where Cureton slammed one into the back of the net.

Sadly it was to be his one and only goal for Orient.

I dont think he knew what he wasn't getting himself in for. Being a player manager and all with the sh*t show happening at the same time. He did alright. But by all accounts, didnt cover himself in glory at the end of season awards...

From memory, started well as a manager here, but wheels off pretty quickly and replaced by Hessenthaler. Was a v difficult time for the club of course under Beelzebub.

Thought he was toilet as a player but perhaps I expected too much based on his reputation.

The awards revealed him to be the drunken coked up oik many had suspected for a long time.

Nolan didn’t play with Cureton in an Os shirt to my knowledge

Sssh. I needed a pivot to give an outing to my annual Cureton meme.

I did see Nolan at Carlisle though in a midweek 2-2 when Ollie Palmer surprised the Greater Cumbria Area and those travellers from East London by scoring a goal. Nolan was gash BTW.

He had a decent win rate initially but the more the 🤡 wanted him to play the worse it got until the inevitable sacking

Most successful Manager of the Beelzebub era. Put some respect on his name.

He rushed himself back because he was so desperate to be back on the pitch IMO. If he stayed on the touchline then got a full pre seaon under his belt then I reckon he would have been excellent for us. Still, there we go...

TBH I give anyone who was here under Coco's Reign a second chance. I remember how vilified Jobi was at the time.

Pretty sure the owners rushed him back and were pushing for him to just be a player rather than a manager after a few months

Yup Nolan wanted to focus on being a manger but 🤡 wanted him playing. In the end got the worst of both worlds.

It was so simple for 🤡 he just had to supply the money and leave the staff to do their job but the ego was too large and madness ensued.
