Sickening. Can't really see the foul that Wellens was annoyed about on the winner. Keeley not strong enough and the fella just stands his ground before their other guy - unchallenged again - nods in. Poor.

Re: Highlights v Charlton
Both were poor goals to concede. We appear to have just switched off by then. It's not something you would expect at this stage in the season from a team with realistic ambitions of promotion.

Re: Highlights v Charlton
Really? At the time I thought it was just blocking off but it’s definitely a foul. Their bloke literally jumps into Keeley to stop him moving backwards towards the cross.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 8:10 am Sickening. Gotta practise some of those dark arts ourselves - sometimes you gotta tough it out.

I’ve seen this word used a few times to describe what happened. And it’s spot on. I felt genuinely nauseous for about 20 minutes after the final whistle.

Re: Highlights v Charlton
In the olden days, keepers would have definitely had a deeper starting position but that seems to have changed (I don’t know the reasons why, could have a guess, but keeley position in the middle of the goal was pretty standard).

It's probably a foul but nuts that he didn't learn from the corner we'd just conceded from and adjusted his starting position. Got himself into the exact same issue, which is a reflection of inexperience.

Re: Highlights v Charlton
Keeley definitely mainly at fault for both but he was fouled for the second. But you also have to look at Kelman and then Brown for letting their man have a free header at the far post. Really poor all round, especially given we allowed Charlton to just repeat exactly what they did for the first goal.

No disrespect but when you’ve got the likes of Kelman and brown up against their giants, you know you’re on a hiding to nothing.

I don’t know that he can change his starting position. Keepers always start centrally nowadays. Re: Highlights v Charlton
Maybe starting position isn't right way to phrase it. More than he didn't learn from the first one that if the ball is being floated deep to the edge of the six yard box, running backwards blind into traffic probably means he should adapt how he comes for it. He gets utterly lost under the flight of it both times.
Watching it again, it looks like a blatant foul, so maybe I'm being harsh. I'm not sure whether he's getting to it were it not for the blatant body check and it might be that it's given because the ref judged he wasn't making it anyway.

Sweeney getting bullied by the bloke who goes on to arguably foul Keeley doesn’t help.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 12:02 pmI don’t know that he can change his starting position. Exactly . I was there and can't stomach to watch it again . I have to say that stung . However that's life supporting Orient . We will always have our up's and down's . After three defeats on the bounce we're due another period of being on the " up "

Again, when you’ve got the likes of Sweeney having to act as Keeleys protector, you know you’re on a hiding to nothing. The Reverend wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 12:41 pmSweeney getting bullied by the bloke who goes on to arguably foul Keeley doesn’t help.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 12:02 pmI don’t know that he can change his starting position. Beckles/Happe/ Simpson are missed for their aerial ability and strength ad much as they are for playing the ball out from the back.
It’s almos

Re: Highlights v Charlton
No fouls just two good goals. Doubt they will deliver better balls than that all season. Keeley has fantastic reflexes , great close saves , brilliant and calm on the ball , but he lacks aerial presence under pressure. If he did he would already be a premiership keeper.

Re: Highlights v Charlton
After two identical goals it appears we have a weakness there . Maybe you're right and Keeley should just punch it back out in future
