Re: Takeover
Yes, Nige is selling out for big bucks $$$$$
That’s why he seriously backed up in the transfer window, knowing he could recoup his investment in a few months.
Nige has stated incoming investment is tied and goes hand in hand with new stadium plans.
Premiership in 5 years.

Re: Takeover
can someone explain what period of exclusivity means? Does that mean that we have found investors and they are close to acquiring their stake in the club?

Re: Takeover
Interesting NT has called it ‘seeking investment’ and this is essentially a takeover. Its what is needed to take the club to the next level. I think he will stay involved at a minor level and stays on the board.
Hopefully this goes better than the last time the club were knocking on the door of the Championship… Things are about the get a lot more expensive for the fans.

Re: Takeover
They’re close to a deal and have set aside a period of time to negotiate the full details without the club negotiating with other parties.DelightInE10 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 6:16 pm can someone explain what period of exclusivity means? It means yes, we have found investors. We are satisfied they are serious and have the dosh.DelightInE10 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 6:16 pm can someone explain what period of exclusivity means? Does that mean that we have found investors and they are close to acquiring their stake in the club?
Those investors now wish to do their own due diligence on the club safe in the knowledge that someone can’t sneak in and outbid them etc
Due diligence will include the finances of the club, the running of the club, checking there will be no efl hindrance, examining the new ground options, speaking with WF council on the options, speaking with any minority shareholders etc etc

Re: Takeover
An exclusivity period is a length of time (usually 30 to 60 days) during which a seller is prohibited from carrying out or furthering activities that relate to the sale of a firm with parties other than the prospective buyer with whom they have signed a letter of intent. The scope and duration of the exclusivity period varies (as per the decisions of the parties involved), but the specifications and regulations are written in each specific letter of intent.DelightInE10 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 6:16 pm can someone explain what period of exclusivity means? Re: Takeover
"too" ??
Nothing in the statement indicates that either is "going".
Clearly Nigel & Co will need to do a better job (i.e. some due diligence for a start) that Bazza, and I trust that they will do.

Re: Takeover
Kent has pretty much already gone.
This season is giving big 2013/14 vibes. Let’s hop for a happier ending all round.

The Wife just told me she’s hocked up the holiday home in Camber Sands and she’s buying me a footy club.

Re: Takeover
Let’s hope so, and this time the big money comes with a brain behind it, unlike the previous regime.

Re: Takeover
More expensive, yes, probably but look at the fantastic football we’re watching. if we want to go to the next level we has supporters have to expect to pay more. Personally speaking, I’m willing to pay more if it means we can get into the championship.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 6:20 pm Interesting NT has called it ‘seeking investment’ and this is essentially a takeover. Re: Takeover
It hurts if this is the end of the Nigel Travis and Kent Teague era but if it is, I cannot say thank you both enough times.

Re: Takeover
I am hoping I am praying that Nigel stays on the board. After what happened to us with the previous regime, I would only be confident if Nigel is still with us.Loyal_Supporter wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 6:59 pm It hurts if this is the end of the Nigel Travis and Kent Teague era but if it is, I cannot say thank you both enough times.

Re: Takeover
Seriously, I trust the current board not to sell us down the river and we are a good investment for lots of reasons. My guess would be American money but whoever it is please don’t make it be a bunch of people that makes me feel like I’m making an ethical decision every time I buy a ticket

Re: Takeover
I imagine Nigel will be on-board still, and as others have opined Kent's role has diminished to a degree
Both, in my opinion, deserve some kind of lifetime recognition from the club for their time and achievements here. I hope that proves to be the case..

Re: Takeover
Nigel will be staying as Chairman for a while longer, you can all calm down. Just like Matt Porter staying on as CEO under Beelzebub.
(that last bit was mischief btw, there's no indication that this new lot are as insane as FB)

Re: Takeover
No we are not. Nigel would NEVER let it go into the wrong hands. Remember, he is an O's fan and I believe he would NEVER let the club get into trouble while he is owner. He is a top man.

Re: Takeover
There’s not much Nigel can do beyond due diligence up to the sale. No guarantees a new owner doesn’t turn into a new Balkan based waste management guru after a few failed attempts at getting promotion.Loyal_Supporter wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 7:27 pmNo we are not.
