59/60 when we beat Middlesborough 5-0
71/72 beat Chelsea 3-2
Saturday was a great and memorable performance, particularly because we were playing against the Prem Champs and only lost by the odd goal, one of which was a significant deflection. My own fullest euphoria goes to the matches mentioned above.

I can’t think of any in the past 40 odd years.

Name them.

Just before my time - what was so good about that performance?

Obviously the result winning promotion beating Millwall in front of 20000 crowd , lost their last 3 fixtures including a 5-0 defeat to Millwall away

I am only speaking from 20 odd years watching the Os - but yes I would say - given the quality of the opposition - that is the best performance I have seen from an Orient team. In the first half - we took the game to them in the first 10 minutes, and THAT goal - but then I actually thought the overall performance in the 2nd half was in many ways actually superior.
